If you mean the live action movies, then yes.
I think this is largely the fault of director Zack Snyder, who has Serious, Grimdark vision for his interpretation of DC heroes. Many reviewers complain about his dark, joyless vision for them, compared to Marvel's directors who put humour, fun and character into their movies. Except Wonder Woman, which he didn't direct. That was more enjoyable. Last edited by zztop; 2017-12-06 at 20:09. |

Snyder stopped halfway through because his daughter committed suicide. He is now on hiatus. TV DC is not bad also. I've seen Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow. BTW what do you think of this Justice League manga? I can provide Japanese and Chinese links. Last edited by zztop; 2017-12-06 at 20:41. |

Batman ninjas, and now Batman manga? What the hell, Japan? I love the bat-fam and all, but y'all realize there are other western comics out there? Not just the Avengers and Justice League and whatever's in theaters? Still, other than milking for cash, I don't quite see the point in making a manga for comics like this, considering we already have them in *full-color* print form.
Spoiler for like so:
Anyway, if they're going to do this, it would be nice if they would at least choose a more obscure character/team to make a spin-off for. (It doesn't even have to be from Marvel or DC -- shocking!) We know why they won't, but still. And laughing at the Marvel > DC comments. It feels like the only people who insist on that are those who only came around during the MCU era and never read the actual comics or watched the cartoons. (Nothing wrong with that, but when they act like little trolls... ) Still don't get why people can't just acknowledge that both companies have their good points and let live. |

Another DC Cinemated Universe problem is they were too obsessed on expanded the popular brands Superman and Batman film for long time, which don't give chance for other heroes to have share position like formers as well.
This is why Justice league is so lacking in background than Avenger which has been established by prequels of individuals movie. I know there are TV series introduced Flash and Arrow but that not really expanding their fame much to worldwide. |

^ DC's "extended universe," or whatever it's called, screwed itself when it decided to focus too much on playing catch-up with what Marvel spent years establishing instead of telling its own story on its own terms.

Btw, Suicide Squad is the most garbage movie I've ever watched in forever
So cringe oh my god.... By the end these villains saying shit like, "Don't hurt my friends!", CRINGE! Also, why are these super teams always facing off against most boring faceless unlimited army? That's so boring Avengers' aliens and robots were boring too but at least they got Loki and funny Ultron

And Ultron is acted by James Spader aka Reddington from The Blacklist, of course he'll be great. Quote:

When I want to see light-hearted superhero movies, MCU for me. When I want to see dark, depressing, serious superhero movies, DCEU for me. But now, it was all gone. DCEU has became another MCU 2.0. When I am watching the JL opening credit scene, the dark tone and the "everybody knows" theme was playing got me hooked for me and then it was quickly became a disappointment when everyone in the movie starting to crack a joke to the end. Damn Whedon. P.S. Also, there was a time my friend, MCU big fan asking me why would the courtroom exploded and who has setup it when watching BvS with me. I was like "I thought it was obvious a setup by Lex?" and his response was " How you know? Lex didn't said it and the scene didn't show Lex triggering the bomb or setup the bomb. MCU would have shown these important scenes to the audiences". I was like "Oh ok. My bad". Last edited by Sixth; 2017-12-07 at 09:41. |

^Isn't that the very problem that plagued Superman since a long time ago?
Superman is boring He's all mighty so his defeats were because stupid things like kryptonite Man of Steel was great coz the enemies were on equal level and he was forced to become crueler to counter them Modern day Superman should be like this, because Saitama approach won't work for him

I did hear from the news how Whedon tried injecting his trademark humour into JL after he was chosen to replace Snyder who was going on hiatus. ***** Perhaps we should go back to discussing the actual Teshirogi manga itself, in case the mods start cracking down on this post for going too off-topic. (But we can continue discussing in the JL movie thread, I think. https://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=112823 ) |
