The episode was pretty sick. I loved it.
Now what we need: A bunch of Claymores are meeting for an Awakened hunt. They are to hunt 4 Awakened Beings at the same time in the near mountain range. When they are all preparing for the upcoming battle a hooded man walks by their camp. Each party stares the other down. Some Claymore hoots at the hooded man teasing him if he is shocked to see a camp full of fit, beautiful women. Suddenly the 4 Awakened Beings crash through the trees in the back of the camp immediately killing 10 Claymores. The hooded man chuckles, takes out a spoon, and lays each Awakened Being to fucking waste. The man is of course Raki THAT WOULD BE SO FUCKING BAD ASS. |

Yeah, but is that even possible. I could understand it against a Yoma, but the Yoma are becoming overshadowed by Psychotic High Level Claymores and Awakened Ones. As a human he wouldn't serve any combative use to Clare aside from keeping some pesky Yoma off her back. If he is going to actually protect her, he's going to need more than just a good blade, a skillful hand, and a willful heart. He's going to need power.

this is just a guess but i think the reason she hates youmas/ABs is because her family/lil bro was slaughtered when she was young. much like priscila. when she was breaking down and talking about her bro it reminded me alot of priscila doing the same about her papa. now to become an AB after all that, ouch.

Really, I think Guts could give the Claymores a run for their money, despite the fact that he's a "mere human." He may end up heavily pummeled, coughing blood *and* pissing it, but he gives as good as he gets. Now if Raki were to turn into Guts, that would be *funny.* Seeing as how I can picture Guts actually fighting Awakened Ones and beating them. (Then contemptuously pumping them full of bolts and mocking them for giving him the "A God am I" speech. Wow! You really are immortal! *torture*) |

What does everyone else think about the underwater shot in the preview? Looked like Claire with her right arm back. I can only think of 3 ways that could happen... She uses her awakening power to do some extra regen, if that could somehow overcome her offensive focus. She uses the arm of the one-eyed Claymore in the preview, ala the Deneve jokes earlier. Or she uses Irene's arm, but I can't see any reason for Irene to give it up, unless maybe Ophelia comes and defeats her.
For that matter, why would Ophelia be fighting with Claire again anyway? Now that she's an AB shouldn't she be filling her stomach with some villagers, not worrying about something from her earlier life? I guess Claire really made an impression on her. |

TWO ELFs in one episode?! Must give this a 10 then
It's time for adult to teach kid some manners! And Irene didn't actually come out of nowhere, imo. It's not coincident. Irene could feel the presence of Teresa inside Clare. So it made sense for her to find out. Or else she wouldn't even bother with this because she didn't want anyone to know that she was still alive. One thing which I really hate in this series is that... Spoiler for Don't click!:

After be defeated by Pricilla, Irene really fear and don't want to fight for org any more ) . In the preview, new character with only one eye will arrive.

It's more like she's got a bit of Theresa's Jedi combat sense and a bit of Irene's berserking arm. Problem is, she can only one of the two abilities switched on at a time, since one requires that she actively repress her Yoki and scan and the other requires her to control a berserk Yomi-fied arm that could force her into an Awakening. She's got one nice defensive mode and one finishing offensive mode. I wonder if they'll ever make a big deal out of her being able to integrate this into her style by making her learn how to seamlessly switch from one to another? Find an opening with Theresa's sensing and then exploit it using Irene's berserker arm... |

Well I'm seriously hoping that the Irene giving up her arm or dying guess is off. With her return I'm liking her as a character and dying would be disapointing. Even if she doesn't want to fight anymore I can't see her rolling over if someone shows up to fight. Heck someone showing up might be enough for her to get back into things again.
Guess we'll find out how this arm gets to her pretty soon. Though I guess it wasn't unexpected she'd get another one. If she's going to keep surviving and eventually (with some help I'd imagine) stand up to Priscilla she'll need 2 arms for that.

Yes i also will find it dissappointing if Irene dies in the next episode when she had just reappeared! And quite in a fashionable manner i say... I loved the part where Ophelia had no idea why she couldn't touch Irene...
Regardless i like Clare with two arms! I have to say it was very quick or sudden that Ophelia turned into an AB... she lost her cool i guess... Any ideas when no 1-5 except ophelia shows up? |

Which begs the question:
Why wasn't Irene able to reattach her arm? Priscilla was even so nice as to give it back to her. Clare was an offensive warrior and she still managed to reattach both her legs and a hand within the course of a day. I also wonder why Clare's grabbing her arm before falling into a chasm would "give her away"? It seems like something a desperate person would do. I mean if Kennedy's wife tried to stuff his brains back in after it got blown out... It also kinda always irks me that nobody bothers checking the wounded to make sure they're *really* dead. I distinctly remember a movie where the Romans went around checking for barbarian wounded and then giving a quick stab if they survived the battle. Yet Awakened Ones and Claymores never seem to bother paying their enemies the respect they're due by treating them as actual threats, wounded or otherwise. Check their damned pulse and kill them so that they don't get resurrected later. |

Well as been speculated could be a ton of reasons why she couldn't reattach her arm. Maybe busy trying to heal the massive wounds she took that would save her life. Clare was out for a week, maybe Irene did grab her arm and get somewhere to rest but by the time she woke up the arm was useless. Clare was in the position of having her only injury as her legs being chopped off and could focus on that.
Well it's not like Irene didn't know that Ophelia wasn't really dead. She just didn't bother finishing her off. We'll see how things go next week at any rate. Just don't want Irene to be killed off that's just me. She didn't break a sweat beating Ophelia before, but an AB isn't easy to beat. If she's up against one I hope she can put up a fight. That's if she gets involved at all and Clare just goes out to fight.

Priscilla killed onii-chan? Clare and Ophelia should have been friends, yo...
Clare gets her arm back after it was clearly stated that those who join the organization with an agenda like hers are unable to regenerate lost limbs? *Ka-thunk* Did anyone else hear that? I think the writer just jumped on board... Spoiler for Irene's arm:
