It's because he has a scary mask on his face and is emitting scary hollow reiatsu. Once the mask is off, Orihime will go back to swooning over Ichigo as usual.

Orihime's expression makes me wonder what rukia would do if she saw ichigo in this form

I think the way Halibel was looking at the fight in that sort of half cool, half condesending way may be a hint that shes stronger than Grimmjow. So I'm thinking either five or three espada for Halibel. Especially considering she didn't look all that impressed by the fight, but then again its hard to tell anything she's thinking through that hood of hers. But seeing as how she was introduced in sort of a non chalaunt way I'm thinking she's not number one either. (which I already kinda knew even before the chapter.)

Have to say I quite enjoyed this chapter. Ichigo seems to not be such a pussy with his attacks (apart from taking those blows for Orihime, but I never expected him to give that up anyways)

Everytime i see Ichigo land a hit with his sword, i wonder why he doesnt just unleash a pointblank getsuga tenshou into the wound for massive damage.

Halle Berry probably wont do anything except watch at first, just like the first Renji vs Ichigo fight, and then steps in(or her posse) at the last moment to do some minor stuff.

It seems that Ichigo finally is following the advice of the "Dream Zaraki" that appeared when fighting Hichigo: use your instincts to fight and enjoy it. And maybe that's why seems stronger and the mask didn't break, it's because now he can doesn't have doubts about what he's fighting for.

But the thing is Inoue is not just scared of Ichigo with a Hollow Mask, but how Ichigo is fighting with such bloodthirst.

I don't know, she seemed to have return to normal after he blocked Grims attack and she was able to see his eyes. I thnk she was afraid that his hollow side had taken him over, but once she was sure it was still Ichigo in controll she calmed down.

Well, I don't know. Although I'm wrong most of the times regarding who's gonna end with whom. Ichigo decided to fight with Ulquiorra instead of helping Rukia, just because Ulquiorra said that he was the one that brought Inoue to "Las Noches"... that at least was suprising to me.

Now, about Inoue's face... man, even if you love someone it doesn't mean that you will not get scared of that person if he/she is transforming into a demon!

To get scared, to be angry, to fight... those are normal emotions. And if you love someone doesn't mean that you will always see that person as a perfect human being. Bad things can suprise you, but love makes you to accept them at the end. (too deep, sorry)

Anyone know what the verdict is? Is Rukia and Chad gonna die. I mean seriously. No one is attempting to go to their aid, and there doesn't seem to be any really nice Hollow's arround to heal them. Or will this be a chance for Chad to get a power up to go save Rukia.

well nobosy really knows but if they continue like they have from the begining none of the main characters have died so i doubt it because if we remember correctly in the SS arc chad had the same thing happen and he did not die

its not like they can go and save eachothers since ichigo seems to be the only that can put up a good fight against an espada.
it doesnt seem very logic for the vaizard group to aid them, althought ichigo might be important for them... not to the point of risking the life of a few/all of them.
and i dont think SS is gonna risk lose a lot of ppl just to save 5 ppl, wich arent all that important for them. (they could be anihiilated there also)

and i dont think it seems that much of a bad idea for someone to die..... cmon, the only people that died until now were the banto/bando/wtv (filler arc).

i hope they think of a good way to take them out of there... since i guess a max of 2 espada will die there

It seems even the inner hollow in Ichigo left some impression on him, he's even actually kind of enjoying this fight, it seems that Grimm was right and Ichigo went more to Hueco Mundo to fight and have a challenge than just for Inoue.

How did Ichigo manage to keep the mask on for longer now though, must be something to do with him finally letting everything go and just fighting or maybe hes getting some other power up with his hollow powers.

im pretty surprised that everyone is getting so worked up over the 11 second "barrier" thing, the signs have been around for ages that ichigo was gonna surpass it. and it was a sure thing that it had gone in the last chapter because

- he built up the 11 seconds in training fights with the vizard. yet lately all hes done is have life or death fights against arrancars. the quality and intensity of those sorts of fights have to add to his overall EXP points :P

- before ichigo was fighting on earth, but now hes in hueco mundo. a place which due to the high level of spiritual particles, gives everyone a power boost from the get go

- in his last fight ichigo was pushed to the point of certain death by ulquiorra, maybe this allowed him to break the limit.

- throughout the WHOLE fight, ichigo has said he's gonna win, which says that something is different about him/the situation. then in the last chapter grimmjow released his zanpakuto and quite possibly became the one of the most powerful arrancar (hell characters) we've seen so far in bleach and what was ichigo's reaction? "o rly? wow!!! i didnt know your panther screams were so powerful!!"

this power up has been a long time coming and i personally wont tear my hair out if kubo doesnt explain it to me anytime soon. if ichigo suddenly grows wings and his sword turns into a lightsaber. THEN i'll want some instant answers.

...That would actually look better than the stupid Hollow mask. Hell, Ichigo having a "Don Kanonji" mode would look better than that stupid mask.

Why couldn't he just look like Hollow Ichigo when he uses his powers? That dude looked pimp as hell.

They've dragged on the battle long enough with just fighting fighting and fighting. I think that at the very least there should be some explanation on either pantera or ichigo's powers. As it stands now, pantera dosent offer much more entertainment than grimmjaw fighting alone.
