The official backup channel as long as mircx has problems is:

#animesuki @ irc.aniverse.com

The other ones (namely those posted by ashibaka and forse) are inofficial as any other channel/server combo that might float around. Of course you are free to join whichever you want. Just be aware those are NOT official.

Some people can get on, some people can't. If you can't, chill in the aniverse channel. A lot of us are in both channels so we can make fun of you in one and you won't know about it.

It seems that the servers are back up. You can try but there are no guarantees. There are still no news if the attacks stopped or if the servers are functional.

It's not easy to stop ddos attacks.
The admin of Dalnet counldn't defend the attack about a year ago.

Well to arrange a *BIG* attack from multiple hosts...well it takes time and skills. And yes I am also wondering why waste time on something like that. Well I am sure cjb is going through hell now

P.S. Many ppl are thinking of changing networks now...which is not good for mircx.

Hrm.. Got disconnected last night/this morning and now I can't get back on. >.< Well.. Not like there was many people on anyways. ^^; Blah. I think I'll just give up on the whole IRC thing until things stop. >_>; Especially since I can't get on aniverse, AOL IP's banned. ^^; Oh well. I just need to find something else to do with my free time now.

Many people participate in the irc channel not to chat away but to download files.

The ddos Attacker may assume himself a crusade against a file sharing network.
