Well, I didn't say it wouldn't add anything. I said it wouldn't add much. I don't consider the loss of sexual tension between Hiro and Hime to be a big deal.
At least, with regards to the anime's setup. I don't know how it is in the manga, but, in the anime, considering the general lack of romance in Hiro's relationships with the females in his life, having him drink Hime's blood would do little to change the feel of the series. May be you are rigth, but i'm not the tipe that likes the gore that much.
yes, there is abig lack of romance, and the use of blood to revive hiro will actually mean a bigger union between them. this anime whould be better if there is more fight, powerful enemies, and a more warrior type hiro, and a kind of relationship. i have never read the manga, but i would love to, more because iwould love to see another kind of hime and hiro drinking her blood as a vampire. I have never think that vampirism was a metaphor for sex, but thanks for the aclaration slice of life. PS: last episode i see another try to make a romance in this anime but sawawa is to stupid to realiced.

For me, they tried to hard to censor something, and screwed up a major plot point while at it. In the anime, you still have the vampires seeking her blood. They sure aren't as hell seeking her blue flame. This has nothing to do with the losing of sexual tension between hime and hiro |

Hmmm. In the latest episode, I've revised my opinion about Reiri liking Hime. She just planted a seed of doubt in Hiro's mind.
How do you kill a temporarily immortal being? Just keep killing them till the time runs out. Hime certainly has quite the arsenal... |

My dislike of Hime grew with 22. Although I figured out that Hiro means nothing to her, kinda sad to see he found that. Even sadder is that he said he will still follow her...I guess since she did bring him back, he owes his life, but still...

From what I read here about the manga (not that I want to know further details about the manga),
it seems Hiro and Hime are much more closer than in the anime. In the anime it's everyone els interacting (Hiro and Riza seemingly good buddies) but Hime with Flandre a seperate entity I must say that the latest Ep shows some background on Hime and also further development of Hiro's situation, which is a good thing Me want more!

Hime is closer to Hiro in the manga. I wasn't shocked at all by this episode. I think this eps came off odd for two reasons
1: EP22 was really suppose to come eariler in the series(Vol 2 of the Manga), when Hiro was still unsure about Hime's intentions. 2: The anime up to this point, has utterly failed to show the cruel side of hime. If you've been reading the manga, you will come out of this episode with no change of opinion on Hime. You will probably just see it as Hime just handling her business like I did, but at the same time you will know that she truly cares about Hiro. |
