It's more or less because I hate Haruhi because of her overly assertive nature and I was undecided for Group 8, so I let both Haruhi girls take the fall.

And to Demi, I was seriously considering adding Nanoha to my "Anime to Watch" list.

I'm really happy to see Tessa win.

As for today, my allegiance lies with Yuki. Tsundere and silentmoe can be similar since girls in both archetypes often try not to reveal their true emotions, making it all the more sweeter when you see that they actually like someone. I think tsundere girls are moe mainly because usually they're so violent and angry, making their few deredere moments so very powerful and emotional. Yuki is similar in that normally she acts so cold, distant, and unemotional, so that when she does show her caring and emotional side, you're in awe. The two situations that come to mind immediately are when
Spoiler for novel #6:

It's such a subtle moment that's still so filled with emotion. That's why Yuki appeals to me.

Voted for Fate because of certain cruel people. :'( Also voted for Mai.

Yea, you should really consider some more. I'm confident that you will seriously wonder why you ever voted against Fate for tactical purposes.

Spoiler for Some more persuasion:

I could only convince 2 people to vote for Mai.. I'll keep a look at my MSN online contacts, though. Won't go into lengths why I don't vote Haruhi, she's just too annoying and self-centered for me to be moe.

I decided to go with Yuki because I don't dislike SHnY and today is silent type bluish hair day.

I wouldn't expect a much better performance from the Genshiken girls next year, either, since the current series is literally more of the same--a manga-faithful extension of what we've already seen. If the girls didn't do well the first time around, I doubt that people would view them as different enough to send them any further. It's kind of a shame, since I absolutely love Genshiken, but its characters just aren't all that suited for this kind of atmosphere, even if Ogiue makes a fine tsundere.

Ogiue, of course, has more exposure this time around since Genshiken 2 is four times the length of the OVA. I can't see that making any real impact, though.

Both Ohno and Kasukabe made the main bracket in 2005, but each lost her first-round match.
Disagreed. S2 will likely cover Vol 8 material, which is Ogiue's backstory. Doesn't mean she'd be a juggernaut, but it does mean under favourable groupings, she'd manage to get into the main tournament and perhaps even reach Round 2.

That chapter pwnt a lot with Yuki Moe yes. Me, the one-line descriptions of her eyes are enough to fill me with Yuki Moe, e.g. "her eyes changed as if ice turned to water" in that same chapter. Heck I mean take "Asahina Mikuru no Yuutsu" from Vol 6 where she finally becomes more than a Moe blob, gets good development, etc etc and because of ONE LINE OF PROSE DESCRIPTION, Yuki comes out with the "earned most Moe points this chapter" title.

Aye, I couldn't vote for the S1 Haruhi. S3 Haruhi though... is another matter.

Fu... sure is hell trying to sort through these images after a night of essentially no sleep. If only I discovered those Yuki threads sooner...

Dargel... I'm gonna crash for now. Let my body decide whether it wants 1 hour or 10 hours of sleep. I've uploaded some Elite-grade Yuki images but there's still 1000+ to sort through from teh raw pool.

Yay, Tessa won

Voted for Mai today.
Still undecided about Fate vs Yuki though, damn it's really hard to choose between those two...

Ave Nagato Yuki Caelorum,
Gaude, virgo gloriosa,

Dignare me laudare te, virgo stella,
Da mihi virtutem contra hostes tuos.

you know the only thing that is missing from the Koren voting system? ... egtting to see what combos were popular... in the Japanese system you have to cast both votes at one time, so it makes comboination stats easy... I wonder how hard it would be to develop an applet to do that for Koren Best Moe..... today is just one of those days.... what combos are good ... Yuki and Haruhi ... Yuki and Mai ... I wonder I wonder. the latter for me. *off to watch Clannad.. hoping for at little Kotomi-chan~~~~~~~~~*

Yay! I'm very happy that desu got through. one of my predictions were right while the other was off, but oh well, I didn't really care about the other match anyway, haha. Today I voted Mai and Fate-chan, because I like Yukarin (Mai's seiyuu), and Nanoha aces. Honestly, I'd be happy if Haruhi won too, as I seem to like both of them and just voted Mai because I think Haruhi has more support already.
