If they never start sub MKO, there is no dropped.
On the main topic, ep3 finally got the direction "restarted": they are trying(I won't judge how much just yet) to regain the place. Should I recalled correctly, anime production for ep one and two had been fixed sometime before airing, so they won't even got a chance to know the reaction from audience. Nor even to get the adjustment kicks in soon enough.[normally we can see the corrections for such mistakes at around ep3 onwards] Let's see what will happen on the next few eps. [I can understands the gag, I just found the art style and direction a ted bit problem to adopt for 15 mins something.] Last edited by stevency; 2008-01-21 at 08:47. Reason: correct typo |

Guillotine Cross fansubber eh...although i don't know who they're (probably new groups considering MKO is their first sub project),but they sure put their effort on this anime.Praise them for their well done job.
Anyway for now i skip watching this first. Will come back in this thread once in a while to check the comments. |

Having watched several raws (without understanding them) I can say I'm now fully used to the new art style. So now I can enjoy the first episode subbed without any prejudices about that.
IMO, the reports of Okawari's failures have been greatly exaggerated. I enjoyed the first episode. I definitely wouldn't rank it as a classic ep, but it was decent and it had its moments. Thanks to GC for subbing this. |

It was okay it's not as bad as some people have said. Some of the jokes felt a bit flat or not timed well but overall it wasn't bad it did make me chuckle a couple of times. The animation was good but akward in some places you'll understand once you see it. It had lots of fanservice but it didn't really bother me.
I'll probably follow this new series as well. The first series was good though I didn't consider to be great like Azumanga or Ichigo Mashimaro so I guess that's the reason I'm not that bothered with Minami-ke Okawari being different then the first series was. |

Just as I was about to go the RAW route subs appear...How convenient for me.
Eh it wasn't a bad first episode...Seemed like abit of the charm and warmth got replaced with alittle blatant fanservice, but like Sides said the format of the show lends it to being sort of hit or miss. I know with the original series there was one or two episode that fell into that "Miss" category, so if the subbers are gracious enough to give us more in the future i'll be sure to watch.

Now that I've finally seen it with subs (i.e., understand the dialouge now), the Minami charm is still there. Character designs could get some getting used to, but I'm over that already. I don't see why people are complaining about the OP/ED animations though. It's not like you are forced to sit through them every single time.

Hum, now that I've seen it....
It's not as bad as people made it out to be! I really liked that part where poor Makoto Spoiler:
With those knockers, Haruka will be home in Divergence Eve. |
