Tomoya is surprised that he sees an orb of light and thought others had seen it as well, but he was startled when no one else seemed to have noticed. Fast forward to the next scene...Tomoya asks Yukine about the orb of light. It was written (i believe) in an old(er?) book that orbs of lights were observed very frequently in the town ages ago, but decreased gradually over time. My translation/interpretation is very liberal here, but basically she reads that whenever someone is consumed by innocent unadulterated joy, an orb of light appears...and I think this was the end

if you want the exact quotes, i'll need to replay...this one was a very touching storyline imho...the superstitious aspect was a little strong, but Yukine's lack of stereotyping was a fresh breath of air

Well thought it'd be interesting to check some stuff out about the game.

Spoiler for Kyou Route:

Wow I haven't felt this depressed since...well since something sad happened while watching a show. Just really a depressing feel overall. Everyone ends up badly. Ryou is sad because she can't be her sister so can't be with Tomoya. Kyou is being distant and Tomoya is pretty gone as well. Toss in me and we are 4 not that happy people.

Just hit that certain point where things started to be painful for the characters. A situation they were in that created a lot of hard ship. Nothing too bad should come from just going out with someone. But as time went on it go so much more complicated. Guess it says something about the story and characters when I feel like this, but don't feel up to congratulating the writers at the moment.

Felt it'd be a good thing to get it out there to someone. Well going to try and get away from this dark cloud that I just know will be hanging over me for a couple days at the very least.

Edit: After a good nights sleep it is really possible to figure things out. Not wanting to just leave it like that went out to make a different choice here and there. Just shows that if you don't do everything just right disaster is out to get you. But I'm really relieved in how things turned out.

If the only thing to feel bad for is Kyou's hair () that's not bad at all . Was really wondering how the heck you act in order to avoid the situation of everyone getting hurt. But in the end things turned out just fine which is a relief. Ryou has a new boyfriend and things with Kyou are going well. Just some good conversations with them so happy for Tomoya and Kyou there.

Props to Sunohara who shows that he can be a very helpful guy. Amazing how he let's the locking him in a bathroom stall for days not be a bid thing . But really the perceptiveness and actually good advice paid off there. Feel a little bad for what was done to him .

So yeah good thing for this ending. While the sad one still hangs around with the positive solution that cloud isn't a bid deal.

Yes. Sunohara's definitely got some perceptiveness in him. I like to think of him as the idiot that is far more perceptive and aware than he lets himself think/be. I almost jokingly call him Tomoya's reason in a few scenarios because of the profound advice/motivation he gives Tomoya in those situations. Heh heh.

Yeah was pretty impressed by him. In the show you got to see that serious side of him during the Fuko story. Was a good source of advice and someone to rely on when thinking by himself wasn't getting Tomoya anywhere.

Good for a laugh, but can come through in a pinch. That's Sunohara for you.

Spoiler for Sunohara Siblings Route:

Now this was a really nice one and a lot easier on me than with Ryou/Kyou. Just a really good feeling one with two friends and a very cute little sister.

Amazing how long they kept Nagisa's mother being married hidden. But good times at the end when things finally got taken care of there .

Was just a really uplifting moment when Sunohara charged to the rescue then Tomoya jumped in there as well. Completely routing for them to take those soccer jerks (never liked the sport anyways) down. They had just pushed things too far that's for sure. Ball striking Mei, pushing her to the limit, then laying the insults onto Sunohara which just just too much. I did expect Sunohara to jump in but that didn't make it any less satisfying. Amazing how after that big fight they find the energy to get up and starting fighting each other. Each one seeing that the other should have taken better care of Mei and not let this happen. Can only imagine how bad those guys looked after.

Mei was a really nice character. Just a really courageous girl that wanted to help her brother no matter the cost. Wanting that brother that while causing trouble would come in to save the day. Nice shift from the anime in making it clear how so much of what she did was about Sunohara. In wanting to help him. Sure tossed in that mock date during the route as well which was pretty nice.

Just shows that even while Tomoya pulls some big pranks on Sunohara that is a friendship that will last a lifetime.

That was something that I needed, after finishing Kotomi I just couldn't stand playing Fuuko, but Sunohara route really cheered me up

So, I played through the baseball route, and I loved it. ^_^.

I noticed that Misae and Yuuske had some sort of drama in their past. Was that explained in the Misae route, because I honestly don't remember seeing him in that route... Or, is that After Story?

It is however explained in the novel/drama CD.

Well might as well keep my thoughts about the game coming as I get through things.

Spoiler for Tomoyo Time:

Was another nice story I thought. Of course a different feeling than what went down with the twins. Since it wasn't a long trip to actually get together with Tomoyo. Really challenge was what came after that point. Elections, rumours, kicking Sunohara around, feelings of weighing Tomoyo down, and then the breakup.

No doubt a hard situation for everyone involved. Just caring about a person, yet your being with them made one feel like a burden. Be it teachers, students, or just personal observations it was hard to escape from that. A sad break for both parties involved.

Found the time in between to be pretty interesting. Just the battle for Tomoya and Sunohara to be able to sleep in again . Actually dealing with their futures and the realities. Like Sunohara going home to start job hunting since University was out of the question. Also Tomoya living in that room while he searched for his own career. Sure we hear about them being delinquents, but first time for me that you could see that reality. Makes me sigh about the future personally even if I am in University right now .

Seems always necessary to have a Sunohara piece. Such a flexible guy overall I felt. He can be pretty rude, comical, idiotic, but insightful and a good friend you can count on for support. Though he was usually getting owned by Tomoyo (go massive combo at the end!) he did like her when all is said and done. At least made their lives interesting and wasn't a bad person to hang out with.

The reunion was certainly a nice finish. She did accomplish everything she set out to do. When their was the burden feeling I thought a temporary breakup so she can get things done and once the sakura trees were saved they could get back together, would be fine. Just because she had a lot of ability if she was going to be miserable it just wouldn't be worth it to do all the big things people expected of her.

Though still have my personal leaning towards Kyou. It was pretty easy for Tomoyo to rise up to 2nd spot. Really enjoyed getting her full story. Glad I decided to go for playing the game version.

Is there a missing CG in Clannad? I just played through both the Ryou and the Kyou routes, and I'm still missing the CG where Ryou is crying in Tomoya's arms. Is that part of the Kappei route, or did I do something wrong?

Alright. I'm glad there are no hidden CGs. I don't really like it when they have a CG in a bad end...


Oh, by the way, I liked the Ryou route much better than the Kyou route. But I don't think I'd really rank their routes up with the likes of Kotomi, Misae, or Fuuko. The "Ana" in this route did move me to tears though.

Also, does Kappei have a theme? I'm missing the 6th slot in the music menu, and a whole bunch in the end (I'm assuming that's for After Story music), and I don't know if I just missed that song or if it is a Nagisa route song or if it's Kappei's theme, or if it's just a strangely placed After Story song...

Hey I want to ask about the clannad game that i played now. I've played over Fuko, Kyou, Tomoyo, and Kotomi. When I was trying to play Nagisa the game hang when Nagisa want to tell about the story of imaginary world. Is it just me or there are some way to fix this?

And also from all the paths that I've played all of them except Fuko gave the orbs. Is her route doesn't has any orb or I have made some mistake in the game?

Maybe a codec issue? The thing is around this part, the OP should kick in (yeah, very strange timing).

I'm not quite sure about that though.

Fuuko and Nagisa don't give any Light Orbs in their respective routes.
With the first part of the game (school life routes), you can get a total of 8 light orbs.

I'm already using K-lite codec for my default but it still has some error when the game first started, but it still run though. Is this the reason why it's got hang at that point?

Well I'll look for the option for using ffdshow. Don't know if it will work.

Did you already saw the opening in-game though? it should happen just when AKio and Sanae fetch Nagisa, after she told about the illusionary world to Tomoya at the park at night.
Also, well, I think CCCP is good enough, as FFdshow etc are included anyway. It doesn't require much to see that.

Nope. It got hang just before she going to tell about the illusionary world.

Ok I'll try both the codec then. Hope one of them will works...

OK I got it done. Rather than fix the codec, I just renamed the OP file and it got skip when I passed the scene....

No Kappei does not have a theme song only the main cast gets them and Yukine. The rest is BGM and other good stuff.
