Had a good few listens to Origination's soundtrack, and at the moment my favorite track is Yuudachi no Ato de (track 17). It's played in episode 05 during young Aika & Akira's scene.

I dislike the traveling view used to introduce young GrandMa in the Himeya.
Young GrandMa introduction = Uber Dekkai shonen too powerful character introduction.
They overdid it.

Beh, I found the seiyuu most distasteful. The only qualm I have with the series so far, but it's really minor considering young Granma won't make anymore appearances (or so I guess, but I haven't read the manga).

More of an uber-celebrity treatment and well, she was an uber-celebrity and that scene was taken straight out of the manga. The way her "fans" at Himeya were voiced didn't sound as mature as I had hoped but again, half the admirers seemed to be singles and we know how mature the average, stereotypical teenagers are

- so although it wasn't exactly animated the way I'd have liked, I can let it pass on grounds of plausibility.

I thought young grandma's voice was alright. Not exactly the most smashing performance but by no means bad. Being around 30 at the time, she couldn't exactly sound 20 or 15 (like our protagonists).

On an unrelated note, anyone know if there is going to be an Origination Drama CD series? I absolutely loved the first 2 sets and special navigation drama CD's (enough to keep them permanently on my ipod). It would be great if they produced more++

Yup, there'll be three Drama CDs, with releases starting in late-March.

Uhu, Episode 8 was a second helping of Alice

Overall, the animation was so-so this episode. They did a good job conveying Alice's eagerness, though I thought how they milked the fall and her running out the door was a little lame. I had reservations about them bringing up this chapter, but judging from the preview...

what ....?? looking at the preview for the next episode, ARIA the origination shouldn't be even 13 episode long........but well they might wanna put some filler in between episode 10 to 13:P

this feels weird. I have a feeling that everything is being rushed.
eg. the manga gives only 1 room / chapter to decide all of the endings. the anime is being pushed forward like that.....guess something is wrong

It was cute watching her hurry on home like that - I found her look of excitement to be just adorable. I also realized a taller shot of Athena's fall would have treated us to an eyeful of more than just her delicious thighs. The show killed it when they did Alice crying. Good job. Overall, the animation was so-so this episode. They did a good job conveying Alice's eagerness, though I thought how they milked the fall and her running out the door was a little lame.
