EDUARDO!
The tackle was horrific and very bad indeed... Not for the faint hearted if you don't know what's going on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpMAR77TzA8 ARSENAL vs AC Milan Tomorrow! Go on Gunners! San Siro will be tough, but we can manage something!

Roma defeated Real Madrid 2-1, and therefore gets to quarter finals (it'd be hilarious if they got them vs Man U once again). Chelsea won as well, as so did Schalke 04 at penalties. Next week there's Inter vs Liverpool, and Inter will have to pull miracle if they want to pass to the next stage (I highly doubt that, Liverpool just needs to score a goal to ruin Inter's plans, not to mention that almost all of the Inter's defenders are injuried and/or disqualified).

I hope we face Barcelona, so we can kick them out and show them that we aren't the same team as 2005/06.

Something that could interest you UEFA Champion League fans... I like to call it The "Round of 16" curse.
2003/04 Winners - Porto 2004/05 Winners - Liverpool 2005/06 Winners - Barcelona 2006/07 Winners - AC Milan During 2004/05, Porto lost against Inter Milan in the "Round of 16" During 2005/06, Liverpool lost against Benefica in the "Round of 16" During 2006/07, Barcelona lost against Liverpool in the "Round of 16" And now AC Milan have lost against Arsenal in the Round of 16. For something to be occurring for around 4-5 years, it's pretty interesting in a way.

Today was somewhat of a shocker in the FA Cup. Man Utd losing and Chelsea losing to Barnsley of all teams.
I'm hugely disapointed Man Utd didn't make it through, but in another way, i'm also please for the FA Cup competition. It has really brought the magic back to it this year. None of the Top 4 are challenging for it, and it gives the Lesser teams a chance to win. |

ya.. they were a bit low on confidence.. but now they must be as confident as ever after doing in milan.. thats a problem arsenal used to have a lot in the last couple of seasons, not so much this one.. once they got beat theyd go into a slump for a while.. i dont have to remind anyone about 2004-2005 (goddamn you rooney!)

UCL R2 - 2nd Leg - Inter Milan 0 - 1 Liverpool (Liverpool win 3 - 0 on aggregate)
While the EPL Big Four are all out of the FA Cup, they're now all in the QF of the Champions League. The first time all four teams from one country are in the QF. Again, tonight's ref was quite trigger happy with his cards. Inter can rightfully complain they were hard done by after Burdisso got his second yellow for a tame scramble with Lucas. On the other hand, Inter cannot complain about being wasteful in front of goal, especially in set pieces. Ibrahimovich was a large disappointment, there were quite a number of times I thought he was going to score after a Liverpool error and he shoots it wide. Fernando Torres then shows Ibrahimovich how it's done, this guy just can't stop scoring, 8 goals in 4 consecutive games now (including 2 hat tricks). And that goal was just, jaw dropping. He received the ball, turns around, shoots, game over. I forgot who it was, and I couldn't be bothered as it's 6.00am over here and I need some sleep, but a big gleeful LMAO at the guy who said back in December that Inter is so going to win this. Though I'd like to applaud the Inter fans that stayed behind even such a "disaster" for their club when they chanted "Thank you for Istanbul May 2005" (for beating AC Milan), showing there isn't much enmity between the fans. Oh, and then there's all that nonsensical drama concerning the takeover of Liverpool which no doubt all you neutrals are feeling entertained about. All I'll say is, Tom Hicks, take your bloody profits, keep your dirty fat and greedy fingers off the club and GET THE F*CK OUT! Last edited by Kinny Riddle; 2008-03-11 at 17:10. |

Wahaha, Inter lost!
You guys should see the italian forums. Everybody's laughing at them (except Inter's supporters of course) and everybody's been cheering for Liverpool. It was freaking awesome. Thanks Liverpool, the sight of Mancini and Moratti totally purple with rage is priceless. Oh and by the way, two great pictures that say more than anything else: Spoiler for epic lulz:
Oh but that's easy to answer. They can't bribe and buy european referees like they do in Serie A, that's why. ;D Last edited by Shinndou; 2008-03-11 at 17:40. |

Traditionally, Double with a capital D applies to the league and domestic cup (FA Cup). So you must have meant Premier League and Champions League double, which is possible, depending on this Friday's Champions League draw, where the 4 English clubs have a possibility of drawing each other.
