Was reading one discussion a while back, somebody was wondering if this would mean the eventual "disappearance" of Mika as an entity (? is this the term to describe her) as Fumi rises to take control of their (her?) body. On the other hand, there is the possibility that the two of them can then become two separate people in two separate bodies...

Those who've seen Air Gear (manga) might draw some parallels between them and Akito/Agito. They know each other better than anybody else as they are essentially the same person, but when the circumstances that birthed the alter ego from the "original" are no longer relevant (in this case Fumi/ka's sparkly oyaji no longer going to write on her/their body), then there isn't much reason for Mika to stay unless Fumi wants her to (as was the case with Akito and Agito).

What do you guys think?

I think Mika will disappear, as in, going back into Fumi.
There's also the question of who that strange woman in the preview is...

What needs to happen:
Fumi will need go through rehabilitation, since she's slept for three years...
Talk to the police... Her father's abuse and her shooting him.
A meeting between Fumi and Mika
A conclusion to that as well

Is what I think.

Also, considering the last episode's title, I also want the last episode to show what all of the Shigofumi characters are doing now. Miku, Tooru, Ran, Morishita, etc.

For me, I would love to think that mika will stay a mail carrier but that maybe just false hope ~
But this is an interesting case because fumi and mika are both different. Whilst it is easier to discribe by saying that she has a mental illness, I do think that it has already past that stage to where mika and be separated from fumi. Hence, I would be saddened to see mika disappearing (I see that there is more of a chance that a recovery for fumi would mean the extintion of her other self).

This is getting too suspenseful!!!

Fumi wakes up!
Mika reveals that she plans to have Fumi shoot her so she (Mika) will receive the punishment she deserves for making Fumi sleep for three years!
Hearing this, the three (Chiaki, Natsuka, Kaname) hide Fumi at Natsuka's home, where Fumi plays the Wii ( ) and other stuff she has never done.
Meanwhile, Mika delivers Shigofumis and Chiaki goes to that unknown woman (who apparently knows about the Shigofumi world) and asks for a way to save Mika from disappearing (which will happen if Fumi shoots her).

Alls kind of well, until Fumi sees a book with "Mikawa Kirameki" on it and remembers what happened. She dashes out and finds Mika. Mika tells her that she is the one who shot Kirameki and that Fumi isn't wrong. Mika hands the gun to Fumi.
Next thing, gunshot.
When Natsuka finds Fumi, Mika was gone and Fumi hid the gun behind her back.

Later, Fumi tells the police that this time, she will shoot Kirameki...
NOOOOOOOOO! Kirameki! Use your Kirameki Shield! NOOOOOO!

And at the end, a woman appears who's... Kirei?!


Next time: Last episode, Shigofumi. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
What's going to happen?! What's going to happen?!

Looks like they combined. And I guess the show will conclude with her getting back at Kirameki, and maybe even Kirei too.

For something that seems vast and ripe for exploration, the otherworld seems to be just there and will continue to be that way for the entire duration. Oh well.

Just done watching episode 11 of Shigofumi

Fumika finally awake...she can stand,she can walk,she can eat,she can talk...and she can play games too...only one thing,she can't remember anything from her past.

Mikawa stated that being Fumika's another soul/personality/existence,means that only Fumika could end her life by means of killing her.She told Chiaki that she will give back that gun shigofumi to Fumika and plan to have Fumika shooting her with that gun.Mikawa blame herself for everything that happened 3 years ago,and willing accept any punishment from Fumika.Hearing that from Mikawa herself,Chiaki (and Kanaka) try to stop Mikawa from meeting Fumika in the hospital.Chiaki that manage to reach to the hospital earlier than Mikawa,told Kaname and Natsuka everything about Mikawa's plan.Of course,none of them wanted to see Mikawa die,so they plan to separate them both by taking Fumika back to Natsuka's house,hoping that Mikawa won't be able to meet her in the hospital.

The plan,in the beginning,works well...until she saw one name written on a cover of a book which she found on the bookshelf inside Natsuka's room - Mikawa Kirameki.From there,she started to remember everything that happened in the past and screaming out in fear when she remember how she kill her own father 3 years ago with a gun.Having all that sad memories coming back to her,she ran away from the house,crying and blaming herself for killing her own father.Not long after that,she found Mikawa,standing on top of the stairs...

Mikawa then told her that everything was not Fumika's fault,but instead its her own fault for causing Fumika to having such unbearable memories.She gave the gun shigofumi back to Fumika,and ask her to use it to shoot her to end that nightmare that she had.

Fumika,that hides the gun that she used to shoot Mikawa on her back from Natsuka,then lied to Natsuka about her meeting Mikawa,stating that she didn't meet with anyone.And on the final part when she talked with Kaname's father,she stated that she wanna "kokuso" (can be said as taking law action?) against her own father...that or she herself will be taking "action" against her own father.

Fumika certainly shot Mikawa in this episode...but whether Mikawa really vanished or not,no one knows.But from what i can see from Fumika's personality after she shot Mikawa,its like Mikawa and Fumika finally back as one embodiment again.Her way of talking in front of Natsuka and Kaname's father certainly looks abit aggressive and different from what Fumika was before she shot Mikawa.

And the woman on the final scene of today's episode...i guess its Kirameki's ex-wife Kirei...

Another episode that leaves me screaming,especially when Mikawa stated that she wanted Fumika to end her life...and pity for Kanaka too,that loves Mikawa so much,to the point where she doesn't want anyone to be her partner else than Mikawa.

It's pretty much definite that it's Kirei, now that I check again.
Reasons:
1. When she took off her sunglasses, she made an expression that looks very similar to the hallucination of Kirameki's when he saw Kirei in Fumika.
2. She glittered.


Feel sorry for Kanaka, but staff drama isn't #1 on my Shigofumi priority.

I'm resisting the urge to go and look at all the screenshots that Omni has posted for the eleventh episode at his blog.

Right now I want to finish my in-depth review for episode tenth.

What I most appreciate and found out most remarkable above anything else was how real like small girl Fumika's naive view was portrayed.

It made me to remember about last week when I visited the museum, since back then were exhibiting Botero's art discussing the theme of torture about the suffering the Muslim prisoners experienced at the hands of the American soldiers in the Abul Ghraib prison.

The content of the portraits ranged from the visually explicit to the most gory pulling out visceral reactions upon the public.

There was a little boy who went to the exhibition along with his father. The boy went ahead of his father in order to enjoy the most of the exhibit without disturbances.

Unlike most of the adults' reactions, the boy commented to the guide that the people presented in the artwork either were fooling around, ridiculing themselves, or hurting themselves.
The point is that the boy was too naive to realize that those subjects presented in the pictures were actually being tortured. From his innocent mindset he gave his own opinion upon what he viewed in the portraits, picking the first word that came to his mind right away.

At the end, the boy told the guide he enjoyed the exhibit but couldn't quite well understand a few of the portraits.

Returning to the episode, I found a similar circumstance with the small girl Fumika.

At the start of the episode, she was inquisitively poking at a dead bird and naively thought maybe the bird could come back to life like in her videogame.

This again happened towards the end when she and her mother attended Takehiko's funeral and poked on his face, asking him in an oft-put manner if he could wake up.
At some point when she stopped poking Takehiko's face her eyes gave off a slight twinkle, as if she had figured out something about Takehiko.

But right after the funeral she went back playing her handheld videogame, as if nothing serious ever happened.

My point is that all children possess a natural disposition to interact and ask about their surroundings or things which with are unfamiliar with at first glance.

The problem lies that adults, following the strict conventionalities of their own societies, have this tendency to be paternalistic and overprotect of kids. We fear that our children may get hurt or develop a bad tendency later on if are exposed to something that society in general deems as a taboo.

When we prohibit children from learning some themes like, for example, death in a harsh manner, we incentive upon them the evil of the morbid view.
Problem lies that we adults tend to give excessive hype or overrated taboos, which children are still ignorant about due to their naivety.

When children for the first time come across with a taboo and the adult forcefully diverts their attention from it, the children is stimulated by curiosity to become more interested as to why that taboo is forbidden.
The next problem lies is that the more the child is forbidden the more he or she will be stimulated to try to break the taboo and find out by himself or herself, eventually when the child grows to puberty and adolescence there are chances that will develop an unhealthy obsession about it.

The best approach for us the adults is to let children roam freely and interpret by themselves about the 'taboo' things that pose a less risk to their mental development and health.
Of course, that doesn't mean children should go far away from an adult's protective reach and venture deeper to find out about the 'taboo' things which are highly risky.

Well, until Mika had to go and tell Fumi that the one who shot Kirameki was her, Fumi was pretty normal (in her own quiet way). After Mika told her, she went yandere.
Conscience of guilt lifted?

When I think about it more calmly, is Fumi's actions really that surprising?
I mean, who's blood is running through her?


If Chiaki wasn't xxxx miles away, there'd be the possibility that Chiaki swooped in and saved Mika.
Hah... to think in such a critical time, she's talking to some mystic...

I don't think it was that simple.Fumika was indeed sweet and innocent so it wouldn't be a simple thing for her to just accept and do what Mikawa had told her.I believe there're few things happened between the moment Mikawa gave Fumika the gun and the moment Fumika shot Mikawa that was not shown in the anime.And those scenes might be the key to explain the sudden change in Fumika's personality.It certainly doesn't look like her when she said she wanna sue her own father during the last part of the anime.Beside,i don't think killing Mikawa will solve any of Fumika's sad memories (i mean killing someone that you love/adore the most..that just mean adding in another sad memory isn't it).Mikawa for sure has some kind of plan inside her mind when she asked Fumika to kill her...so "ending the nightmare" could probably mean that she wanna settle the "things" she had against Kirameki by using Fumika's body imo...

Continuing, I just marathoned eight episodes of Shigofumi because I had watched the first two when they had been released, and had stopped there. It wasn't really because I didn't like it, I just felt that I could put it off until later (now) because I was pretty busy at the time, same as I had done with Minami-ke Okawari.

I've really liked it so far, with its short stories about people of all types; and it shows the darker side of humanity, the lighter side of humanity, and everything in between, while still following Fumika's past and story as well.
As for the next episode:

From the preview, it seems that Fumika isn't the nice girl she was before, and it could either turn out really well or terribly. As this is Ichiro Okuchi of Code Geass, I wouldn't say I have high standards, but since it's based on a light novel series, he may not blunder trying to finish the series quickly.

2. It's the Kirameki gene, superior to all.
3. Do you want to see a whole episode about Fumi rehabilitating? The anime doesn't have the time to waste on that.

Borrowing Fumi's body?
That is possible, but there are a few odd parts, I believe.
1. Fumi used "watashi" at the end
2. On episode 8, Mika already decided not to go "Kirameki K.O." thanks to Haruno. Also, Fumi, at the end, says that this time, she'll be the one shoot him. If Mika was using Fumi's body, why would she say that? Because Mika shot Kirameki already.

Spoiler for one pointless thing I realized, ep11 included:

Kirameki likes himself.
Fumi likes Mika and Mika likes Fumi, but they are both the same person, thus they like themselves.
Clearly, father and daughter. Hai~
Heck, they even shoot the same person!

Natsuka talking to Fumi (probably as Fumi leaves), Fumi gazing at the glass house of glittering after three years (*imagines Kirameki's reaction* *impossible*), someone pointing the gun at someone.
