- Renmaru (male highschool student), one of the 2 main characters, receives an email from an unknown email address telling him to go to the roof of Integral (a hotel) to save Myuu at noon
- Narumi (female police officer from the 12th division of public safety), the other main character, receives an email from a co-worker Makoto to go to Integral and save Myuu in order to stop the "second eclipse project"
- Renmaru arrives at Integral, reveals that he has some kind of connection to the hotel in the past
- When he finds Myuu up on the roof, he encounters Kiritera, a young man in a school uniform who seems to be after Myuu for her powers
- Kiritera seems to be capable of instant teleportation and beats the crap out of Renmaru
- Narumi busts in with her gun, but also gets her ass kicked by Kiritera and ends up being handcuffed to the railings that surround the roof
- Kiritera reaveals to Narumi that the second eclipse project goes down in 24 hours and the purpose of it is to "end history"
- Just as Kiritera was about to shoot Narumi, another girl wearing the same school uniform as Kiritera appears with a gun to challenge him. They seem to know each other, and the girl (Chisato) also has the ability to teleport.
- A battle between Kiritera and Chisato starts, both with the ability to teleport and HEAL INSTANTLY AFTER BEING ATTACKED (CURE ??)
- Renmaru and Myuu escape into the hotel while Kiritera is occupied with the fight, but their exit is blocked by a bunch of men in battle suits bearing the same symbol Kiritera had on his school uniform.
- Kiritera wins the fight and shoots Chisato with the gun. Before he shoots her, he asks "Is this our fate ? If not, then this is our curse. A curse we cannot escape from."
- Kiritera teleports away from the roof and into the hotel to go after Renmaru and Myuu. The men in battle suits also teleport in.
- Renmaru steps up to protect Myuu, and when Kiritera fires his gun, he seems to be able to slow down time (maybe through Myuu's help ?) to avoid the bullets. As the bullets shatter the window behind them, he jumps through it down to the pool in Integral's courtyard.
- When they get up from the pool, Myuu immediately asks Renmaru what time is it, as if she can't accurately judge the passage of time.
- One thing you notice right away is that even though it was pouring rain just a few moments ago, the weather is now completely sunny.
- They head on Renmaru's bike (which he left in front of integral when he arrived) towards the police station, but when they get to the usual busy streets, they realize not a single person was around.
- Meanwhile, the viewpoint switches to Narumi. Chisato is in surgery and Narumi meets with a senior colleague from 12th division to discuss what happened. It is revealed that Narumi suffers from CPS (Cyclopedia Syndrome), where she cannot forget a single thing she has heard or seen, EVER. Narumi seems to have some kind of painful past she wants to forget, but can't, so she's not exactly happy with it.
- It's important to note that Narumi's world is still raining and filled with people.
- Meanwhile, Renmaru and Myuu get to the police station, where they find 1 person, Maina. She cries with joy when she sees them, and doesn't seem to have any idea why the world is empty either. She tells them that when she woke up 2 days ago, the world was suddenly empty. Renmaru notes that it's weird, because 2 days ago, he hung out with his friends all day.
- The viewpoint switches back to Narumi, where she tries to convince her senior colleague about what had happened on the roof. His senior colleague suddenly points out that Chisato, who is in surgery (they're sitting in the observational area of the surgery room), has a ring on her left ring finger, like she was already engaged to someone.
- Suddenly, someone bursts into the surgery room. Narumi and her colleague run out of the observational area to get the intruder.
- Viewpoint switches to Renmaru's flashback, when he first meets Myuu when he's young and they became friends. Note Myuu introduces herself as the 12th letter in the greek alphabet (Mu)
- Viewpoint switches back to Narumi, where they are talking to the intruder, who suffers from anterograde and retrograde amnesia. He cannot remember his past, his name ... etc or anything else that has happened except for what happened in the past 5 minutes (if anyone has ever seen the movie Memento, it's the same idea). Obviously, this means he has no idea why he even went into the surgery room a few moments ago. Narumi notes she's jealous of this (again, something to do with her past).
- Viewpoint switches back to Renmaru. The three of them search around town and find no one, but the strange thing is all facilities necessary for survival are still there (ie: electricity). Maina starts talking about the ship Marie Celeste and Dei Gratia (go on wiki and search to get info on them), and notes their current situation is similar. They are either the crew of Dei Gratia who stumbled on to Marie Celeste (this empty world), or they are the crew of Marie Celeste (b/c they disappeared from their own world) and people are currently searching for them.
- Viewpoint switches back to Narumi. Since they don't know the intruder's name, they use the fact he's wearing the same school uniform as Kiritera (the school is is nicknamed Ripuroku by the way) and search the school's database. They find out his name is Omega and he's Chisato's younger brother, but they are in the same grade. They conclude the two of them are fraternal twins.
- Viewpoint switches back to Renmaru, where Myuu puts forth a theory about why people disappeared. She heard on the news about some yet unnamed virus that has been going around that affects people psychologically somehow (no details given yet), and because many people are affected, doctors think it may be infectious. She thinks the virus spread out of control and people abandoned the town in fear of being infected. The important thing here is that Maina seems to know what virus they're talking about and calls it "NRM66", but Myuu and Renmaru has never heard of that name, insisting the virus has yet to be named. This suggests perhaps there is a chronological difference between Maina and Renmaru's original worlds. Maina then tells them what she thinks happened to them. She thinks they might have skipped to the future somehow.
