Gil and the Jil are 2 different people. Jil and Neeba are half-brothers and form a region that does the Roper Dance. Gil is the King who once defeat Druaga 100 years ago and was crown king.

The gonzo website states Kaaya is Gil's granddaughter but it could just be gonzo providing false info.

I used to really..........reaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllly hate Jil. Hes the typical annoying shonen hero but.......but...........bouncy..........bouncy.... ......bounce. Man that cracked me up. +points for him.

Up par w/ EP 1. Gonzo should make this series more comedy oriented. Seeing as how light hearted(as of yet) the EP's were.

Awesome anime. Anyway, Jil isn't a idiot or weak ( compared to other leads ) . He is just a misunderstood and inexperienced, but definitly not weak. In the beginning he failed because his shield was broken, correct? That wasn't his fault. Then he was fired by Neeba. Mostly becuase of group pressure from the other I think.

I mean, why would he suddenly start to fight well with a broom and a small shield if he was weak...

Which will likely turn out to be one of the best things that could have happened to him. Since after all he seems to work much better with the Kaaya party as episode 4 shows. The spell Kaaya cast on his shield being a good example of why.

Coopa episode through and through. The comedy this time round was limited but even so, gonzo is proving that they can handle seriousness the way it should be handled.

I expected a row between Coopa and Melt to end in a split up, but that doesn't last very long seen as Melt is completely useless without his right hand girl XD

Actually, anyone care to remind me how old Coopa is? She may look loli but when she talked about Melt sleeping with his blanket since he was young, I actually think that she may be older than him O.o

i think the part with the old guy telling him to do something and then the opposite was a parody of some sorts on all that shounen stuff that happens in cases like this.. not sure though..

anyway another great ep, i really hope this series will be longer then 13 eps.. thats just too short T_T

As you see, there's a ten years different between Coopa and Melt. Where mature little Coopa is only 10. I wonder if Japanese ever takes ages into consideration when doing things :P

Yeah~, great episode. It was even better since Coopa and Melt are my favorite characters for Druaga no Tou.

It was amusing (in a somewhat bad way) that the Spear just happened to be in the monster and happened to be right where it was.

Other moments I found funny:

-Play on the words Gigi and Jiji
-Jil's entire savings was practically nothing
-The disturbing bathing scene between the men...

Melt really is sad...
Then again, he is a fairly spoiled noble. Go figure. At least he proves to be a good mage.
Coopa really is nothing but an assistant-type character, using items, cooking, running around, etc. but unable to really fight against a monster by herself.

Preview: Err, just where did "dragon" come from? Katahane is just "one-wing"... Oh well.
Some strange shots, like Melt vomiting. Anyways, dragon battle, it seems.

Spoiler for Ep 6:

Coopa may not have too much in terms of combat capability, but sure does the stuff needed to get through that kind of adventure. With the joking at the end about Kaaya's cooking and how useless Melt was without her around. Seems like her role is to just make things go smoother and toss in a well timed explosive when the situation calls for it. That and she has a better idea of what magic to use in a situation than Melt.

Was a pretty solid episode overall. Bit of experience for Jil in how to act as a guardian. Don't have to take all the enemy attacks when dodging and striking at the right moments can be effective.

Coopa with the episode centered on her did a fine job. Managed to keep a really level head despite the dangerous situation that was emerging. Heck even got back Jil's meager savings which I'm sure he appreciated. Though since I remember him spending it pretty much on repairs shouldn't have made much of a deal about it.

As expected in an RPG there was a rest stop/city kind of thing part way up the tower. Guess if your going to climb something like that you do need places like that to get repairs done and pick up some supplies.

Unless I am remembering wrong, yes she was the one who arrested them. In fact she's appeared multiple times before often with Kelb (spelling) and a bunch of soldiers.

In any case episode 06 was fun because of the Coopa focus. Taking care of Melt means she deserves a raise. The old man's advice was really contradictory.... Yury is not worthy of Coopa. Then again who is?

That being said, I hope we get some decent focus on the other party soon. Too bad this isn't a 26 episode series. Then we could have 13 for one party and 13 for the other. Ah well... I guess part of me wants to see Fatina again since I like her design.

Although Coopa can't fight but she was really a good supporter, when she not here, her master can't ever do anything. And everyone also miss her food, like Jil said, i will protect everyone and Coopa food .

Whew... That was a great episode! Very good!

It was just a whole episode about defeating a dragon, but it was so fun and interesting, like when the group rallied the Climbers, or when they all worked together to defeat the dragon, or when Kelp finally accepted Jil's existence. And they still managed to worm in comedy, mostly by Melt.
Lots of people died too (though not graphically shown), getting trampled or roasted, while the army tries their best to defeat it with their magic, shields, bows, and ballistas.

-Gyaah! Is there no one inside that armor?! Is Utu just a living armor?! O_O

-Succubus appears for a few seconds this episode too.
