Asides from being so shocked to hear that Kei might love her, the other explanation that she feels her relationship with him maybe under threat if he loves her comes in quite nicely. Still doesn't excuse her blockiness though

I think this is actualyl a problem...there isn't enough indepth development for these characters for me to care much. Hikari needs to show more of a deeper side to her than currently imo. Kei has the right idea but he is coming to a wall soon on how far he can go.

After all those years seeing him only as her rival the time has come that she has to realize that he is a man and that she is a woman.
Naturally that this is a shock for her that her rival belongs to an other gender

early thoughts on episode 7

*sigh* Now if the previous 6 episodes had been as funny as this one, there would be many more satisfied viewers. Why couldn't they have done this earlier? I actually think the anime version was a funnier treatment than the original manga version.

Personally believe that whatever the comedy, a shojo series will eventually become a shojo-type love story. The Ouran manga seems to be going to that direction. So, enjoy the comedy while it lasts.

That seems to be the case with Fruits Basket too. I do wonder if people are already turned off of SA that it's a case of too little too late?

Curious Question. Seeing as a lot of people (or a good chunk) have snuffed this series off as being boring, is the manga any better?

I'm currently reading Ouran, Shugo Chara! and High School Debut, but was thinking of buying 1 or 2 more. (O_o; Vampire Knight and possibly The Gentlemen Alliance † might be added too ; ; blah, ba~bai money)

But I don't want to get into it if it's not better. Something tells me it is though, even though I do like the anime. Find it somewhat charming, like Ouran.

^^ Yeah, most people think the manga is much better than the anime. I've seen one or two people around the net who prefer the anime. But the vast majority of people I've seen commenting prefer the manga.

Hrm, okies. Well.... I bought Absolute Boyfriend, but since it's only 6 books, I'll probably pick this one up^^

I figure... for all the music, Anime, movies, and games I download, I can owe somebody something. And I figure I'll buy the manga, as it's fun^^ and cheap ;o at the bookstore in town, I got 2 copies of High School Debut & 1 Absolute Boyfriend for under $26...

This episode is what I've been waiting for. Finally the sub-characters get a bit of room to shine, and the comedy is actually funny. Akira and Tadashi are quickly becoming my favourite pair.

ROTFLMAO! That heavy breathing is killing me hahaha That face carved on the sack looks so wrong, and that black aura resonating out of him XD The bear, the lion, everything cracks me up. Akira is a riot. Though I don't know what Hikaru has been doing running all those tracks while Takishima gets delayed and STILL managed to lose. Takishima is not normal and the fact these Special A students don't study at all and still get the highest grades. I've thrown all logic out the window.

I love Special A. ^___^ It's ironic how Takishima found it unnatural for humans to be so thickheaded when he's more of a freak of nature lol

I thought episode 6 was funny, but this one is definitely the FUNNIEST one yet.
