Thought this might be interesting.

It seems that the staff of Gurren Lagann from Gainax will be going to a convention here in the US! It seems Gainax wanted the con to keep quiet about it.
Supposedly around 10-15 staff members will be attending.
Anyone know of any other details?

I know Simon and Kamina were not blood brothers, so I can see why they didn't use the "Nii-san" (spelling?) but does anyone know what they actually used was?

They used aniki. Not entirely sure what the difference is. Dont think it has to do with blood, just less formal.
