I'd still like to see Raiden in the future, but I wonder how much his body has become incompasitated by his surgeries and so forth. Still I like the guy, hopefully if they have another Metal Gear game, he'll be a big player in it.

Well, I doubt her Hawaiian friend will be part of some military organization. He's just there to show how Sunny is coping with new experiences in the outside world.
No, wait, screw that. That isn't some chance meeting at all. The kid probably has something to do with the last remnants of the La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo. |

An MGS game starring the Boss set in WWII would be interesting.
I think there's a lot of potential with that angle. A story involving the Philosophers, some weird Nazi experiments, and the formation of the awesome Cobra Unit. Quote:

Jack - wht The Boss calls him(The Joy the Boss real name)
John Doe - he said to Para Medic he's real name was and Ocelot. Naked Snake - code name given to him for his mission Big Boss - as we all know he killed The Boss that's why his called Big Boss

The MGS4 Database also says John, I believe. Maybe Jack. Check the timeline where The Boss trains him. This would also explain why the proxy AI is named John Doe. At first I thought it was a joke to Para-Medic, but maybe it's true that it's his name...

In the MG wiki, Big Boss's real name (the first one anyway) is Jack. When you tie this with the fact that Raiden's name is also Jack, then MGS2 makes more sense. From the Boss' entry: Quote:

There were two different views of the gene theory.
Snake = recessive, while Liquid = dominant, making Snake the inferior one or Snake = dominant, while Liquid = recessive, and the recessive gene has the soldier gene, making Snake the inferior one.

Yes, that's true. Raiden definitely gets bad ass cred for pulling that off. I guess Big Boss and his "sons' shouldn't be wielding swords in the first place. No wonder Solid Snake gives the katana to Raiden.
The Big Boss may be legendary, but after the events of MGS4 it's my opinion that Solid Snake exemplifies the ideals of the Boss the best. Loyalty, up to the very end. |

Of course I did.
It looks like you misunderstood me. I was referring to Snake continuing to fight on, despite the odds, to his very death knowing what he was doing was the right thing—for personal reasons, and ultimately, for his country. Heck, Ocelot is too machiavellian that Naomi had to go behind his back and save what she thought deserved preserving in the system. And there's still the question if Eva really knew what has been going behind Ocelot and his Liquid personality. There are many shades of gray in the story, but there are only a few characters whom you can properly label as "heroes" in the truest sense of the word. Generally, they're all a bunch of anti-heroes in my opinion. Last edited by kujoe; 2008-06-26 at 23:17. |
