Wasn't Xing-ke orginally introduced as a person as skilled as Suzuku but as smart as Lelouch? I remember reading that in a post on Random Curosity about charaters in R2 before R2 started. Also, Gino seemed to hold up pretty well agianst Xing-ke as well. and Todou did decent. Which probably means that the skill level between top pilots are very close.

Sadly the knightmares will never have a one on one fair battle that determines who is the better pilot. There will always going to be a reason why this person loses to that person. For example, Kallen losing energy which is why she lose to Li or introduction of new knightmares which gives them haxxor plot shield to destroy everything.

And that person loses because that mech has that piece of crap more or advance. XD Nothing is ever fair, unless you throw the pilot in the oldest gen knightmare and let them fight it off.

Even so that doesn't really say a lot in a sense. i mean, you know, in mecha shows, every ttime a new mobile suit/knightmare7mecha is introduced, it is usually introduced with the _proper hype_ - which usually equals destroying tons of enemies, defeating an enemy ace or equaling him/her in combat. Just look at the KoO and the KoT in this epsisode for an example of this...

what ppl have to realize is this show is not about the mechs. It is not gundam. The mechs are just a tool for Lelouch to demostrate his awesomeness. Battles being won on skill would detract fomr the overall purpose of the mechs which is to demonstrate Lelouch's strategy and carry out his goals

The show is about mechs. Duh. They are the pieces to the chess game. Which is why they all get names and pilots gets titles / ranks.

Like Suzaku never really pwned Kallen or vice versa. Their first fight was interrupted because Kallen fell off the cliff. Then during the Black Rebellion Suzaku was enraged because of Euphy's death, and his mech was upgraded with the flight pack (Lancelot Air Cavalry). Then right before Kallen got her new Guren, it wasn't a fair fight because Suzaku was using Lancelot Conquista against Kallen's old Guren Mk2. Then when Kallen got her Guren Kashoushiki, the fight didn't continue because both focused on saving Zero and Nunally respectively.

The amount of misunderstandings in this series is so frustrating. x_x Note to self, once things start to get better between two people, it's a bad sign that something will happen to screw it up. Why can't Suzaku just tell Lelouch that he was framed? This is why they carry cellphones. Now, poor Lelouch is all crying and telling himself the world is evil and so will he.

...This show is a story involving mechs. Like Gundam. It is a tool of the plot. A gun. It's about mechs more then you think. They are essential of the plot progression.

meh, lets just run with it.

they've completely reversed the situation from 23-25 between Lelouch and Suzaku...only this time around there's 7 episodes left. If either or them were honest about what they said, the two will reconcile at some point; It should make for an interesting watch.

There is a lot of holes they have to fill up.. I don't think 7 episodes will cut it. They would have introduce the remaining Knight (that orange hair girl) and some more characters whom got screen times for like 3 min. I hope the ending won't be a rushed one.

This episode was pretty good overall, but many people were left wondering about what is going to happen. So much for friendship and it seems to be an all-out war between Schnizel and Lelouch's forces, but the Emperor seems to have something up his sleeve. We don't know whether or not Kallen will ever bust out of there unless she gets help from someone. Even the OotBK seems to have doubts about Zero's capabilities as a leader. Freya isn't going to help either if the Emperor somehow stops it from happening.
