It is a cop-out that is why. There are numerous ways they could have had Lelouch redeem himself. They didn't need to resort to bringing back people labeled dead.

I don't know if it's a cop-out. This sort of thing has happened plenty of times in other stories.

To be honest, I wouldn't want Lelouch to redeem himself without Nunnally. I'd rather he realize in the end that his powers can't be used to police the world and he ends up dying for it, but with Nunnally back in the picture, he has something he can fight for. Not just him, but Suzaku as well.

Also, it will actually give Schneizel a reason to be villainous. Even up to now, he has had no reason to be a villain and none of his actions have indicated as such. Holding Nunnally hostage for as of yet unknown nefarious reasons would give the audience a reason to root against him.

What he's decided to do in a world without his loved ones is essentially to conquer/take it over and force it to live by his ideal: that of a world free from manipulation. You can't seriously tell me that this is something that should happen. He might think his cause is noble, but it's not. I know I wouldn't want to live in a world where people are brainwashed to be nice to each other.

As cool as it is for Lelouch to become Emperor, I doubt he'll stay that way by the end of the show. More likely he's going to retire off to somewhere in Japan with Nunnally and Suzaku.

Well, I was right about C.C. not dying in 21, about Lelouch keeping his geass after 21, I was thinking that Nunnaly could be alive (yes, even if I haven't said it a lot in this thread), now Taniguchi.... Give me my CxL please !!!!!

And BTW, me I'm happy. That was so set in stone by 99% of the fans that it's quite a surprise (And I don't believe in the supposed logic of some people. I think that Kaioshin sama will be happy too ^o^. The two shuttles theory was true XD). I want to be surprised again . Thanks Taniguchi.

I don't know why you guys are making such a big deal about Nunnaly being alive. I mean, if they had shown us her shuttle get vaporized ala Mwu then yeah we would be right in being upset because of how badly they did things. However, this was not the case with Nanna-chan. There was enough doubt for one to believe that she was in fact alive all this time. Guilford for expamle we saw get engulfed by the implosion, all we saw of Nunnaly was the glow approaching, and there were hints of a possible decoy shuttle (Romayer's), which would explain why Mrs. Romayer did not react to the terrorists boarding her plane. Not to mention that the plan was for Nunnaly to escape with no escort, while Romayer's shuttle had several knightmare escorts...
