As the topic title states, which Final Fantasy game would you most like to see animated? From 1 to X-2, go ahead, but please GIVE A REASON (or more).

For me, it would definitely be Final Fantasy VI, with IV as the runner-up. VI has a great, deep plot, excellent characters, two completely different sides of storylines, intriguing villains, basically everything you could ask for. If done by, say, Bones, it'd probably become a true classic, almost as great as the game is

FFIV would work pretty well because of a great plotline, and character-wise it would work better than VI because the characters in your party are non-choosable, and are essential to the storyline whenever they're with you. Still, I like VI more while IV is my third favorite, so...

I don't think more recent ones like IX, X, or X-2 would work because the graphics are so good already that there is no point.

Also, FFV has a really good storyline once we get into the second world arc, but I don't think it'd work as well because of the whole job system... although who knows...

What do you think?

I'd like to see either Final Fantasy VIII or Final Fantasy III (US), those two are my favorite stories. Something about Final Fantasy VIII appealed to me more than the others (tho i did like the materia system in FF7).

The only games I would love 2 see animated would be the suikodun series... The FF series has lost its shine a good number of games ago.

Definately FF7. The time frame during that time was excellent. The materia and battle system was excellent and intriguing. I had combinations out the ass that i loved! I loved cosmo canyon, the weapons, tonberrys, chocobos, the raceing even!! awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww FF7 would be just for me and 11 because i could be an elf. [already an elf in FF11]

I would say FF7 but that's already going to be happening with Advent Children. I wouldn't mind saying FF6. It has one of the most superb stories in the FF world I have ever come across. The soundtrack still kicks but and is on the same level as the one for FF7. It was the game that made me an FF addict. Tactics wouldn't be bad but there are way too many possibilities with that one. So there's my vote

FF7 coming soon
FF6 or FF3 for those who like me played it on the SNES
FF8 b/c it wouldn't be a bad story but it might be a tad boring on the serious stuff.

Well it's very hard for me to choose any of the Final Fantasy Games(I Love them all) but the one i would like to see the most in anime would be:

Final Fantasy VIII - For some reason i absolutely love this story, it has so many twists and revelations during the entire game it makes you go WOW, it was very smart the way they managed to actually link all of the characters so that almost everyone had some connection in one way or another to each other in the past. The characters are excellent, Squall is one badass guy and the development of his character through the entire game is very well made he goes from a Cool mission follower person to the type of person who acts on impulse to safe his friends and Rinoa is the perfect character for him to interact since he is so different from her.
All in all i think it would give a good Romance/Action/Comedy anime.

On a close 2º place i would put Final Fantasy VII.

Final Fantasy VII. Which would have somewhere around 26-52 episodes. Though, I'd want it to be based around FFVII: Advent Children's time.

cos it is the BEST Final Fantase ever and ever will be

I love Relm and I love .......
What the heck I love Relm

I like the story and I like the air ship BlackJack (come on a freakin casino)
and I like the opera scene and the summons (best summons out of all FFs)

I like setzer and mash(sabin) and everyone....except umaro

I loved the movies they had on the PS version and I would really like to see it animated

Something needs to be done about FF2 that games been my favorite FF ever, by far. I've played through it about 15 times and still doesn't bore me.

Another vote for Final Fantasy 6. The story was just so rich and full. I'm sure it could be easily done, and it would look and feel great too.

As long as it was based on Suikoden 1 or 2.

Suikoden 3 sucked so very many donkey nuts, and I'm still undecided/waiting for 4.

FFVII & FFVIII. While its great that advent children is coming out, I'd rather see an anime of the actual FFVII story, rather than a sequel. It'd have to be an anime series IMO, to be able to fit everything in without being rushed.

While its often said that FFVIII is or is one of the worst FF games, I don't agree. I guess from a strictly gameplay standpoint its not too great, you spend a lot of time in the same location for over half the game for example, but IMO the story and environments are top notch. The world they have created for FFVIII at least rivals that of FFVII, so it gets my vote :P

It would be no point in voting FF7 because it's already being made a movie.I would suggest FF8 to be a movie

It's the best FF I've seen since FF7!

Well, even if FF7 has Advent Children coming up, there's no movie for the original story. I'd totally watch a movie that covers the FF7 story.

However, I think FF6/FF3 would be the one I'd most like made into something - just because it had such a good story with such old visuals. Seeing high quality versions of all those espers and magi-tek armored knights would be beyond awesome.

i'd actually like to see an FFT anime
the battles were so long, many people lost track of the great story (small wonder you could replay EVERY cutscene in the game...something i think only FFX and X-2 and XI have done since then...)
it'd probably end up being ridiculously long though (what with all the characters you meet...)
