Well now, that certainly is an interesting plot twist.

Hmm, surrendering is not an option. These guys don't seem to be looking for prisoners. What to do then? Keeping them away from Nanoha... how, by running away? Or is bravery the key to unlock a greater power that allows Yuuno to defeat these guys? Either option is a gamble, and one that may result in a Bad End.

Let's see whether bravery gets Yuuno rewarded or skewered. B

Although I don't know why you felt like naming them...

I can answer that in regards to the OC thread. In the early days, the OC-thread was a madhouse of posts, serious stories, crack and huge walls of text. In those days we always made fun of and in the thread, and started to paste random names on it. Orange County and Outer Canaan are but a few examples.

Eventually, the name Cadia entered the fray. Cadians are originally from the Warhammer 40K game (which the OC-thread was known for using material from) and are proud warriors of the Imperium. I likened this to the residents of the OC thread: Proud warriors who did not back down in the face of backlog (and let me tell you, in those days the backlog was huge. It was not uncommon to go to be having finished all the backlog, and wake up finding 6 or 8 text-heavy pages to read) thus I introduced the name Outer Cadia, referring to the denizens of the OC-thread as 'Cadians.'

The name stuck.

More time in the darkness… just what I needed.

“But why is the princess here? Isn’t she supposed to be in the church?” the pink haired myrmidon asked discreetly to the knight.

“Well… Let´s leave that for later okay?” the knight replied as she saw the others leave. The myrmidon followed her.

I just hope nothing happens this time. What happened to the easy search and find mission that I was assigned for?

It was now a party of six people. Although two couldn’t fight, and two lacked the stamina to endure an assault from enemy forces, it was better than just being only two, at least it felt safer.

Now let´s just hope that there are no traps, soldiers or monsters down there… or
that at least there is light.

“Where is the entrance to the underground passage, Lord Fate?” the knight asked.

“The library,” the valkyrie replied.

How does she know? Well she has shown that she knows everything so why not know where we have to head.

The trip to the library was made carefully as possible. After all they didn’t know if the soldiers had decided to enter the castle.

“Tell me, did you see something suspicious when you were searching for the records?” Fate asked to the red haired myrmidon.

“Well supposedly the castle was supposed to be abandoned but the library seemed to be almost new. As if someone had been there in the recent days,”

“I see, but my sister was kidnapped two days ago, so that means someone was using this base, but to what purpose? Perhaps they have started to move,” Fate asked to the wind.

I hate mysterious and vague hints. Why can´t they complete their idea?

A big door stood in front of them. Open, thanks to the myrmidons, the collection
of books could be seen. As Erio had said, part of the library was completely new.

All of the books on that place were completely new and all of them about same topic, the Goddess.

Well… who would be this obsessed over a dead person?

The party entered the library, weapons out waiting for an attack. A minute passed and nothing came.

“It seems that they are not here, or they are smart enough to not attack us,” the valkyrie said, “don’t lower your weapons and search for “The tome of the night sky”. It’s a purple book so you can´t miss it.”

Why does she need a book? Another sign of godlike thinking.

There it was, after runing several minutes, Vita and Gary had finally found the wagon in wich the missile was

The enormus rocket, painted in gray metal colors, has the lengt of the full wagon, Vita and Gary were both almost unseakpless looking at the deadly weapon

"Right... we found it... now we must stop it" Vita said

"Let's check the controls" Gary said

Vita ran at the device who was at the corner of the Wagon, the artifact had a screen and several buttons on it, Vita wasn't sure of what to do

"Let me check it" Gary said

"Hmm... direction nto France... Oh,la,la... shoot in... AGH! 5 Minutes!"

"What? How can it be...?" Before Vita could end, the roof in the wagon got open, another machine who was below the rocket, rised it pointing at the sky, the rocket was ready to be shooted

"Now what?! Now what?!" Vita was desesperated at this point

"Okay, listen to me carefully Space Girl" Gary checket under the controls and removed some kind of plaque "Now you see that Space Girl?" He asked pointing at a little entrance on the device

"Yes, what with it?"

"I'm to big to get inside it, you are small, get in there and cut the power cable to stop this rocket!" Gary said while giving vita a pair of little scissors

"Okay!" Quckly, Viota grabed the scissors, crouched and slowly got inside the machine, it was small, even for her, but she managed to put half of her body in it

"4 minutes Space Girl!"

"Yes, yes I'm inside, now what?!"

"Okay... now there must be a cable colored in red or Blue, cut it to stop the rocket"

"Gary... I'm sieng both"

"What?!"

"Here are a red cable and a blue one, wich one must I cut?"

"Oh Crap! This isn't good, it's suposed to be just one cable, colored in red or blue, not both! I don't know wich one must be cut!"

"Okay, there is no problem, I'll cut both" Vita grabed both cables and puted the scissors ready to cut them

"NOOO!!!" Gary screamed, Vita stoped concerned

"Why no?" She asked

"Uhmm, if there are two cables, it means that one will stop the rocket, and the other will make it explote"

"WHAT?!!!"

Vita was petrifiqued, she didn't know what to do

"2 minutes!!!" Gary added

"Okay, Okay... I'm gona cut one... just tell me a color"

"I... I... I'd... I... ugh..."

"Tell me a color!!!"

"Agh... ummm... BLUE!" Gary screamed while closing his eyes

"Are you sure?"

"Damn No! Just cut it!"

"....." Vita didn't responded

"S-Space Girl?" Gary asked

"Good thing I didn't trust you" Vita said from inside the machine, pulling out an arm and showing to Gary a cuted red cable

"Uf........... I'm gona turn diabethic..." Gary added whil resting his head on the wagon's wall and cleaning all the swet in his forehead

In the screen of the device there was just one phrase "Launch aborted"

Vita got out of the machoine, covered in sweat, droping the scissors, she falle over Gary, resting her head on Love's shoulder

"We are a good team, you know?" Vita said

"Wow! Hold it Space Girl... I have a Girlfriend... AGH! My girlfriend!!!" Gary inmediatly standed up, remembering what he was suposed to be doing

"Space Girl! We must stop this train before we run over my Girl!"

Gary ran in direction to the next Wagon, Vita also standed up and quickly followed him

Vita and Gary go upstairs, once again they were on the roof of the train

"Look Space Girl, there it is!" Gary pointed at the front of the train, the controls, they could stop the train there

"Qucik! Let's save your girlfriend!" Vita ran in direction to it, but a familiar voivce stoped her

"Love?! No! You died!"

Vita turn and saw Maligno, climbing up in the roof of the Train

"Maligno! Surrender! We have stoped your missile!" Gary said

"You what?!!! You bastard!!! AGHHH!!! I'm gonna kill you both!!!" Fulled with wrath, Maligno Jumped over Gary and with his mechanical arm, he graved Gary's neck

"Gary!" Vita screamed

"S.Stop the train... I'll.,.. deal with pig's face!" Gary kicked Maligno in his stomach, launchim him away, giving himtime to stand up and fight back, Vita ran to the main macghine, but when she got inside the controls room, she feeled a strong hit on her chest, Vita falled with violence, when she raised the head, she saw no other but Rage

"Say your prays Dwarf!" He said, while grabing Vita by her hair and smashing her head to the ground

Vita tried to stand up, but Rage started to kick her while she was still on the ground

"BA... Ba.. Bastard!" Vita managed to say with her mouth bleeding, she got tired and managed to grab the leg of Rage throwing him to the ground too, she then standed up, but Rage quickly standed up and kicked Vita again, she managed to keep balance and not fall though

Meanwhile, Gary and Maligno were both in a fierce hand to hand combat, each one was giving and reciving equal damage, although Maligno's robotic arm was giving him an unfair advantage

Rage keeped punishing Vita, this time hiting her severaol times on her stomach

"Does it hurt, Vita? Well... whens I asked the same to Vivio, she only respond crting like a little baby"

"You... coward..." Rage rised Vita into the air and launche4d her against the wall

"You know... maybe I will visit that girl again while she is in the hospital... but this time... I don't know... Maybe I'll have othjer kind of... fun with her"

"W...What..." Vita asked, understeanding somehow what Rage was meaning

"He... that Vivio truly have a delicius pice of Ass! I'm ding to-taste-it, ha,ha!"

"You disguting Pig!" Vita was now angry, she tried to stand up, but Rage kicked her on her face, making her fall again, face down, covering her face

"Uh... don't be jelows Vita... If you want... I can give you a taste of what I will do to Vivio right now..."

Rage crouch and slowly, he put his right arm under Vita's skirt, grabing her leg, the idiot wasn't aware that Vita was hiding a plae that she had found when she falled, with a single move, she swinged the steel pale and cut out Rage's right arm

"AGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" He jumped back in pain "You Peach!!!" he screamed tring to contain the bleed

"Let's see if you can play the flute again with just one arm!" Vita Kicked Rage who was launched out of the train

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The voice of Rage disapeared while the train keeped moving

She took breath, she then look at the controls, looking for the brakes, she found them but before she could pull them, Gary was lunched over her and both falled, Maligno entered at the room

"Maybe you both ruined my plan, but at least, I'll have the pleasure of kill you both!"

Viata nd Gary, who were noth still on the ground, looked at each other, like understeanding a message between both, Maligno ran furius at them, ready to give the final Strike, Vita and Gary moved apart and Maligno smashed his arm againt the ground, Vita swinged Graff Eissen, smashing Maligno on his face, confused he wlaked away, just to recive a second hit, more exactly a kick out of Gary, the terrorist falled over the edge of the wagon, he managed to grab a pipe with his robotic arm, but it was too late

Vita closed her eyes to avoid seeing how the trian ran over Maligno's legs, he screamed in pain, the legs pulled the rest of his body to the deadly wheels

"YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGG GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!" When Vita opened her eyes, the only thing who was left of the worl terrorist knowed as Maligno, was a robotic arm who was hanging in the edge of the wagon

"Sucks be him" Gary added

"Oh no!" Vita said, at the distance, she spoted a female figure tied to the course of the train, it was obviuslly Gary's girlfriend

"Let's stop this thing!" Gary and Vita, both grabed the brakes and pulled them with all their strenght, the sounds of the wheels beaking was heared all around the train, it was moving still to fast

"Come on, come on!" Gary added, the big machine started to move slower, and slower, and it finally stoped

Gary jump out of the train followed by Vita, they saw a young girl, just in front of the machine, totally tied, shaking and with her eyes closed

"Cassandra!" Gary screamed

"Gary!" The girlk responded, opening her eyes and with a radiant smile on her face

While Gary cutt the ties of his girlfriend, Vita sit at the side i}of the train, she was really exausted but satisfied, Vivio has been avenged

"Hey Space Girl!" Gary said to Vita "You want to go to a party?"

"Ha... no thanks... I think I alredy had to many emotions in one day"

"Well... it was awesome to meet you1 Thanks Space Girl, who knows, maybe we will meet again in the future"

"Yeah, Maybe... good bye Gary, and good bye to you too Cassandra" Vita walked away in direction to the forest, she didn't wanted Gary to see her teletransporting back to the TSAB, but when she was deep in the forest and tried to go back to the TSAB quartes something was wrong

"What the... why I can't... AGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

Vita feeled a painfull shock on her back, she inmediatly falled unconcius, because she was alredy far from the train, Gary and Cassandra couldn't hear her

Behind Vita, a tall figure appeared, at first it was transparent, but then it took clor, black metal was covering it's body, pipes throwing smoke out of his head and a pair of green glwoing eyes looking at it's unconcius Victim, the robot just said

"TOXIPOTH_TO_WAR_SHIP._REQUESTING_EXTRACTION_FOR_I NMEDIAT_EVAC"

Vita's been captured.

I hope I'm wrong, because I love how you're writing this fic. Usually perv characters are not my favorites, but your Nanoha is awesome, a complete WIN. It was a very smart decision to make her your main character, and I would love to see more of her adventures with your Fate-chan ^^

Kitty Agito was a cute surprise. It's a little hard getting used to Hayate and Reinforce being practically in the same class (partly because it's hard to imagine Reinforce smaller than usual, or Hayate grown up in a wheelchair). It's fun to read though, the end of the chapter was really nice. Had a pleasant feel to it.

I wasn't going down without a fight. I ignored the blade at my throat and tried to recall the little training Anki tried to give me in martial arts. I curled up my fist pulled it back and smashed my fist into the black knight's helmet.

“...”

It was a really good thing I remembered to keep my thumb out of my fist because if I hadn't it surely would have been shattered. “Gah!” It hurt like hell.

The armor seemed annoyed, “Oi...”

I put my fists back up, “Come on! If you want to get to Nanoha you'll have to come through me first!”

“Take one more step,” it kept it's sword by my neck, “and your head will roll.” For whatever reason it seemed not to actually want to kill me. The other one moved towards Nanoha. I moved to stop her and in the process took a step forward.

“I warned you!” The blade came down.

But I never hit. Instead I found I was the one being defended. Nanoha blocked the sword with her own arm. I froze in place, last time I checked profusely bleeding people did not move at super speeds and block swords with only their arms.

“Ar-is-s-chan.” Nanoha's voice could only be called demonic. “Don't you ever look around!” Her fist, the one on the non sword blocking arm, flew into the the gold black knight's chest. To my bewilderment this blew it back and into the wall. “I didn't send out a call for him.”

“B-bannings-san!” I watched as Arisa stood up as if she hadn't just been blown back and stab her sword through the, still dazed, shadow munchkin, causing him to disappear.

“Nanoha-chan, you're still bleeding,” the other knight, who I now realized was Suzuka, stepped forward, gauntlet glowing purple. She placed it on Nanoha's wound then her bleeding arm. Nanoha seemed to be good as new, save for the holes in her shirt.

“What... What's going on!”

“More tea?”

“No thanks,” I covered my teacup, I really didn't want any more tea, I'd had enough for all of england while waiting for the girls.

I sighed, I had so many questions and not a single answer. The girls had just left me there and gone off to look after Nanoha, not that I minded but I'd just been left Farin, Suzuka's maid.

“Anything I can get you at all?”

“Really, I'm fine.” Suzuka did have a very nice home, too big for my tastes but it was classy.

“Farin, you can leave.” Suzuka walked down the stars, having changed into casual clothes.

The maid bowed and walked out of the room.

Following Suzuka was Arisa, who glared at me as she walked. Then came Nanoha, looking at her you'd never know she'd just suffered an injury deadly to most.

They all took seats at the table, leaving me isolated on one side.

“So I'm sure you have many questions Yuuno-kun,” Nanoha spoke, I noticed her chair was pushed slightly more forward than the other two's. “And I'm here to answer them, but you must remember no matter what. We are the good guys.”

I started simply, “What are you?”

“We call ourselves Devils, though that term isn't quite right.” She shook her head, “We're humans who've made pacts with devils,” She reached around her neck and took off the long ribbon around her neck, at the end was a red, round jewel. “This is Raising Heart. She was this city's guardian until someone nearly destroyed her. That's when I found her. In exchange for continuing her job she gave the three of us a portion of her powers.”

“Devils? Like... hell devils?”

“Nya ha ha, Devils might not be the right word,” Nanoha rubbed the back of her head, “it's difficult to explain but that's the only word we have.

“Alright then... what was the shadow munchkin?”

They looked confused into Suzuka giggled, “he's talking about the lightless.”

“Lightless?” The word reminded me of something. “Did one of you finish Kingdom Hearts when you named them?”

“No!” Arisa shouted rather quickly and loudly.

Nanoha coughed, “Those creatures, the lightless as Arisa-chan named them, are summon creatures. Someone's been summoning them here and they've been causing trouble for us. It doesn't help that there have been several assassins sent after us. We're not sure who or why but we've been after the summoner for clues... with no success.”

“... wait don't tell me you thought I was an assassin too.” Actually it made a lot of things make sense.

“Sorry about that Yuuno-kun. You see that day on the roof I was supposed to be invisible to normal people but you saw me so we got suspicious.”

“So everything up til now has been...”

“So even the thing today was fake?”

Nanoha's cheeks flushed, “A-ah no. Fate-chan really did stop talking to us abruptly three years ago and I really miss her... but I admit to using the situation to my advantage. I scanned your magic while you hugged me.”

I had no clue what she was talking about, my face must have shown that.

“Yuuno-kun your parents haven't told you anything? Your brothers?”

“Nanoha... I'm adopted. No one's told me anything.”

“Don't know WHAT?” I was tired of all these secrets.

When I recovered from my fainting spell Nanoha handed me a giant old book, the book was entitled, A Child's Guide to magic, though I couldn't imagine a single child who would read a 500 plus page text book. I thanked her, went home and went to bed early.

It was the giant book that I saw when I woke up early in the morning, long before anyone else. I picked up the book, riffling through the pages. Nanoha told me 'Devil's' were a lot like mages, so they had used the book when they first started learning. It would take a lot of reading to get through.

I looked up, my window was open, I didn't remember opening it but I must have. I crawled out of bed to close it, noting the white feathers in the tree outside, we must have had some weird birds coming through here.

I climbed back into bed, What to do?

A. Back to sleep with me.

B. The sun should be up soon, maybe I'll find a place to go out and figure out some of this mage business.

C. I should just start reading the book.

I wasn't going down without a fight. I ignored the blade at my throat and tried to recall the little training Anki tried to give me in martial arts. I curled up my fist pulled it back and smashed my fist into the black knight's helmet.

It was a really good thing I remembered to keep my thumb out of my fist because if I hadn't it surely would have been shattered. “Gah!” It hurt like hell.

The armor seemed annoyed, “Oi...”

I put my fists back up, “Come on! If you want to get to Nanoha you'll have to come through me first!”

“Take one more step,” it kept it's sword by my neck, “and your head will roll.” For whatever reason it seemed not to actually want to kill me. The other one moved towards Nanoha. I moved to stop her and in the process took a step forward.

“I warned you!” The blade came down.

But I never hit. Instead I found I was the one being defended. Nanoha blocked the sword with her own arm. I froze in place, last time I checked profusely bleeding people did not move at super speeds and block swords with only their arms.

“Ar-is-s-chan.” Nanoha's voice could only be called demonic. “Don't you ever look around!” Her fist, the one on the non sword blocking arm, flew into the the gold black knight's chest. To my bewilderment this blew it back and into the wall. “I didn't send out a call for him.”

“B-bannings-san!” I watched as Arisa stood up as if she hadn't just been blown back and stab her sword through the, still dazed, shadow munchkin, causing him to disappear.

“Nanoha-chan, you're still bleeding,” the other knight, who I now realized was Suzuka, stepped forward, gauntlet glowing purple. She placed it on Nanoha's wound then her bleeding arm. Nanoha seemed to be good as new, save for the holes in her shirt.

“What... What's going on!”

“No thanks,” I covered my teacup, I really didn't want any more tea, I'd had enough for all of england while waiting for the girls.

I sighed, I had so many questions and not a single answer. The girls had just left me there and gone off to look after Nanoha, not that I minded but I'd just been left Farin, Suzuka's maid.

“Anything I can get you at all?”

“Really, I'm fine.” Suzuka did have a very nice home, too big for my tastes but it was classy.

“Farin, you can leave.” Suzuka walked down the stars, having changed into casual clothes.

The maid bowed and walked out of the room.

Following Suzuka was Arisa, who glared at me as she walked. Then came Nanoha, looking at her you'd never know she'd just suffered an injury deadly to most.

They all took seats at the table, leaving me isolated on one side.

“So I'm sure you have many questions Yuuno-kun,” Nanoha spoke, I noticed her chair was pushed slightly more forward than the other two's. “And I'm here to answer them, but you must remember no matter what. We are the good guys.”

I started simply, “What are you?”

“We call ourselves Devils, though that term isn't quite right.” She shook her head, “We're humans who've made pacts with devils,” She reached around her neck and took off the long ribbon around her neck, at the end was a red, round jewel. “This is Raising Heart. She was this city's guardian until someone nearly destroyed her. That's when I found her. In exchange for continuing her job she gave the three of us a portion of her powers.”

“Devils? Like... hell devils?”

“Nya ha ha, Devils might not be the right word,” Nanoha rubbed the back of her head, “it's difficult to explain but that's the only word we have.

“Alright then... what was the shadow munchkin?”

They looked confused into Suzuka giggled, “he's talking about the lightless.”

“Lightless?” The word reminded me of something. “Did one of you finish Kingdom Hearts when you named them?”

“No!” Arisa shouted rather quickly and loudly.

Nanoha coughed, “Those creatures, the lightless as Arisa-chan named them, are summon creatures. Someone's been summoning them here and they've been causing trouble for us. It doesn't help that there have been several assassins sent after us. We're not sure who or why but we've been after the summoner for clues... with no success.”

“... wait don't tell me you thought I was an assassin too.” Actually it made a lot of things make sense.

“Sorry about that Yuuno-kun. You see that day on the roof I was supposed to be invisible to normal people but you saw me so we got suspicious.”

“So everything up til now has been...”
