Um, we'll see. I've run out of good songs I like that I can also sing.
Probably will dig up some old ones that I've not submitted before and re-practice.

And 3 weeks or less? That's rather short notice, kcl.

Do you mean remove the vocals from a track? It's not an easy task and results aren't that great even if you know what you're doing. It's best to just get the instrumental track and sing over that.

Erg, with launch rapidly approaching I doubt I'll have time to get anything out o.O

But we'll see...
I may start poking people to help me find karaoke tracks and such :P

If you want to sing a song for which there is no karaoke version, you can try the following:

Create Karaoke Tracks by Removing the Vocals in Audacity

I've tried it on a few songs, and the quality of the result varies by song. Some of them turn out pretty well, others not so much.

You can also try this:

AnalogX Vocal Remover

I've only used the WinAmp plugin version; again, the results vary by song, but the slider allows some fine-tuning of how much of the vocals to strip (hopefully allowing you to find a good medium between removing the vocals and not destroying the instrumentals).

Hmmm...time to pick a English anime song, or to brush up on my Japanese pronounciation...

Pointless for me to say, but I guess everyone's going to submit an Anime song entry, so forget RnB / Rap>?

Why does this have to coincide with me studying for my master's degree exam? *goes to cry in a corner*

Do what you like, just cause it's an anime forum, doesn't mean we have to sing anime or j-pop related tunes
(or submit the urban tunes as the 'non competition' entry, so just we can hear ya sing)

No worries. I'll just submit something I had practiced before... somewhat. And thank you!

If I can find a song that suits me, I'll still enter. I'm just having trouble finding a song that'll work for me that's not boooooring.

*keeps looking though*

Yea!!

I finally get to join this times Karaoke competition.

I have a question though.

Can I submit a duet song for a non-competing entry?

Yes you can. Non-competing is just a stage for people to show off their singing skills and whatnot. Can't wait to listen to it now.

Impossible for me :/

I can provide this instead... (so you can see that I would have just lowered the average score with my entry ^^')

Well, thats always my problem too. I don't know many Anime OP/ED songs to begin with, which makes the problem just a little more complicated

Recorded something and in the process of sending it in. It's not very good though xD;;;

Noncomps are previously recorded, so there's at least one person here who's already heard them, but that's ok ^^;
