So... can someone clarify the exact time of day it shows, as in what hour in the afternoon or night?? I live at +8 GW so that's 1 hour ahead of Japan, so I can make a rough estimate.

it airs today or actually "tonight" at 2 or 3am right? so it should air very soon in japan =) (atleast for me) wait for it to be subbed for tomorrow.

Sprocket-TWH and SS-Eclipse have both said that they'll be working on it. There may be another group or two who may want to go onto it, but those are the only confirmed ones.

Just an FYI that DVD solicitations for the show are starting to show up at Japanese online retailers, which confirm that there'll be 24 episodes for the show. (Example 1, Example 2) The release pattern mirrors exactly that of the first season. The first of 8 DVDs will be released on December 3rd.

After seeing what Kyoto Animation can do with a fullHD production (see AIR op for the bluray release) it's a shame that they're still releasing stuff on DVD...

was clannad an SD production that was upscaled for broadcast or an HD production? and same question for Clannad~AS~

See my recent answer in the Q&A thread. It's an HD show that gets crippled for TV broadcast, both on TBS (pan & scan) and on BS-i (upscaling). TBS isn't just the broadcaster, but also a production partner on the show's merchandise (their logo is on all the DVDs). So evidence seems to support the theory that they're "saving it for the Blu-Rays"... eventually. But please buy the DVDs for now.

....you're asking me to buy 24ep of CLANNAD in SD, 24ep of CLANNAD~AS~ in SD, and then in HD...? that's a little bit too much cash to plunk down

if the BD releases are similar in price to AIR on BD...that's about what...$1500~?

TBH, though, I think the new OP is worthy of an original blu-ray OP animation for a BD release, as they did with AIR. At the very least, the song itself I would rank on par with, if not better than, the AIR OP. Really love the remix.
