I hate to bring back old threads but i ran into this and couldn’t help but post since i just recently re watched Key The Metal Idol. Any ways at the end in the hospital scene that followed the closing credits it was key coming to see Miho. She walks in and introduces herself to Miho. As for Sakura she sadly is dead but since key can interact with the jell a small part of her will live on in key and that is why Key went looking for Sakuras jell. Hope that cleared up the confusion.

It was sad when Ben Dixon died, it was awful when Roy Fokker died, it was completely depressing when after the the SDF-1 fired its main gun and took out most of Kyron's ship, Kyron and Azonia still were able to fly what was left of his ship into the SDF-1, killing everybody but lisa because Gloval, and Claudia pushed her into the escape capsule, telling her she still had a reason to live.

When Arcueid dies. When I saw her go down, I silently screamed "Oh NO YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING! AUUUGH!" inside and just kept it in for a while. Then when I watched it a second time, when Arcueid looks so happy on her date, I pictured how she would inevitably die and then I just broke down and cried.

Considering the fact that I haven't cried in years, that is something.

Sai's death or rather departure... it was so full of meaning and yet soo depressing at the same time I didn't just tear like I usually do... I CRIED AND CRIED and CRIED for an hour... and CRIED some more and CRIED all the way to the end of the series.....

I just need to describe his disappearance to let this out completely
Sai had all along known that he would depart from this world but Hikaru just kept on taking him for granted up to the last few moments... Finally, after a tiring day, Hikaru went back to his bed room and was about to go to sleep when Sai said "Hikaru, lets just play a game.... please". Grumbling due to lack of sleep, Hikaru relunctantly obliges in his sleepiness and sets up the board. While playing, Sai starts to realise his purpose for being with Hikaru, he realised he was there to make Hikaru strong and no matter how jealous Sai was of Hikaru's ability to play, he had to leave... and then he thought to himself.. with this my job is done... and just before he left he said "Hikaru... Hikaru... can u hear me? Wake up... By the way.. its been fun...." and Sai dissapears...

I don't know how many ppl would find this sad... but I recommend you to watch it

I agree with you. I found that scene depressing as well, but I didn't cry.

When Hikaru went looking for Sai, and he found all the old records of Sai within the other little boy, and how that boy let Sai play all the games, Hikaru just started crying really hard and he shouted " Sai, please come back! I'll let you play all the Go games you want. All of them!"

That was also sad .

A very depressing death would be the one from Saikano that everyone mentioned.

Miharu. After all she went through to become the "real" Miharu, she basically kills herself trying desperatly to remember and regain the real Miharu's memories. And although she doesnt die literally, Kotori's ending is the same. She helps Sakura knowing that its going to cost her her humanity, and that last date seen where she disappears..... very sad.

But the biggest one is still

Even knowing from the foreshadowing what was going to happen, watching that little girl die was still tough, especially since you know what was coming. Still one of the single best anime movies out there.
