So... how are we supposed to listen in, and where does the chat take place? I haven't seen any info whatsoever posted in the thread so far, unless some post that wasn't the first one has been updated...
I'm just gonna stay up all night, cause I don't trust myself to wake up that early, and I can always sleep later in the day... |

No worries, I'm still alive, setting things up atm. Shoutcast address is http://88.198.134.108:8000
You can listen to it with any media player that supports url. Now... time to test more things!

That was a really fun event, lots of epicness, like the Nico medley lol
I really can't think of who to vote, I'd have to relisten those sounds for hours again to judge. Once again thanks for hosting the competition!

Hello all, this is my first time entering KaraCom and I loved it. Now some of you might be saying, "What? I don't remember a bemanixraver in the competing or non-competing list." Well you would be correct, I entered using my other handle that I typically go by in online games: Tenson
That being said, I hadn't actually registered to these boards until after my submission which I then realized that the name Tenson had already been taken. Anyhow, it was a silly mistake which I won't make anymore and hence forth shall enter any future KaraComs under the bemanixraver name. Great job to everything that put together KaraCom and to those that entered. |

It's like 2 am here and I saw a beautiful Japanese film in the cinema (called Mourning Forest), but I'm knackered. =.=;;; PS: Oh and Cz, I CAN'T WAIT to hear your version of TOKYO! ^^ (I promised you to record it and I will! It's one of my favs). |

I can't wait to hear the entries!!!
[Edit: It's so funny how many songs I considered singing. Bluebird, Tabi no Tochuu, Taishou.a, Uninstall... more, possibly, but that's just what's popping in my head. I gave up trying to find something and just went with Prince of Tennis because it has a million songs that I know fairly well xD;; ] Last edited by Chibi Nasu; 2008-10-05 at 00:54. |

Thanks for hosting the Karaoke Contest. I really had lots of fun , recording my songs, and listening to others entries.
It just really opens up your eyes. And some of the entries , were recorded and sang so professionally, makes you want to try better in the future. I'm already thinking of the next songs I'm gonna do for the next comp.

Good job everyone!
It's been really fun listening to all the entries and following the event in the chatroom. All of you guys are awesome. Oh and Chibi Nasu, you gotta tell us what recording equipment you use, all of your songs were recorded soooo well. |

I juset use a Samson C01U USB studio condenser. Price ranges from $60-$100, depending where you get it. No extra equipment is necessary because it comes with a little plug-in application that you can use to amplify the microphone input. I usually record with that plug-in set at +38db ^^;;
I would recommend getting a spider mount and a stand and pop filter. I don't have any of those, so I have to sit extremely still when recording because every movement makes a noise. Some people haven't had good luck with it, but if you tweak your settings enough, it's a good mic. And it's handy since you can plug it straight into your computer. *recommends it* |
