Indeed it was. I especially like the BGM that was played during the last scene --- it's the piece we've been hearing during the previews.

i really enjoyed this episode. i kept saying, don't die sophita.. don't die.. because characters in this one drop rather fast. it was incredibly calming, this ep. don't know why. the fight under the moonlight was great, cliche, but great. and it left you with a good feeling at the end.

plus the artwork and animation are AMAZING. the music during their fight was great too. don't know why, but that fight reminded me of a studio ghibi film..

It had long been since this anime viewer was in the throes of a memorable series. Surely I won't forget a lot of moments from countless anime, but only a small handful, maybe 5 or 6 of a few hundred, were pieces of art I'd gladly revisit on my deathbed. If we keep heading upwards and onwards as this series continues to impress me, I'm hoping this will join the ranks which showcase the power of and unique qualities of anime.

Don't count me as jaded; I still watch 5 or 6 shows a season, but when that awesome soundtrack kicked in and weaved in and out with the subtleties of the show, I immediately thought about recommending it to the anime watchers of yesteryear who have long since given up anime amidst the narutos and bleaches.

On a side note, with how terrible the Casshern live action movie looked at Blockbuster I had long since forgotten about it and hadn't associated it until I did some googling. Is it as bad as it seems? I don't want to leave this dream quite yet.

There's a lot of promise here and I appreciate their risk taking with the slower, epic pace - For all I know it might turn out badly because expectations on the series crescendo are as a result getting higher by the minute (for myself at least). However I do hope it can turn out well, if only to finance future projects of similar direction and demeanour. I know it's a business out there but if there are going to be X number of shonen powerup/harem and shoujo dreamboy series, the least they can do is compensate us with some off-hand stuff like Casshern has shown so far. Don't bust like Karas!

This is the one new series (non-sequel, so as not to compare Nodame) this season that has started out utterly awesome, and then maintained the quality level, and even increased it at times, in every episode. I like the show better now than when it began and haven't had a moment of dissatisfaction. A couple of other shows are really good (e.g., Kannagi, Kurozuka), but somewhat inconsistent. Casshern Sins's animation is unique but equal to any previous series, the characters are fascinating and authentic, and the writing is so tight. This one is great so far, period. Yes, expectations are high. I have more confidence in this than any other series this year, though.

The story wasn't quite as compelling as the other episodes, but it made up for it in spades with great style...Been awhile since I was treated to watching such fluid sword slinging and they did a great job of making sophita appear very lithe at all times.

Maybe alittle more light shined on casshern's past next episode? Would be nice...Doesn't have to be the whole shebang but a tidbit every so often is great.

Dang it look me a while to get around to watching episode 4. But I have to say that the music put in the background captivated me and made the scene so much more beautiful. Especially the fight scene with Sophita was amazing thanks to the music. Made sophita look so much better as well.

Does anyone know if the ost for this anime has been released or when it will be released? I'm really looking forward to it.

Sophita's one crazy stalker.

One would be careful of someone like that IRL.

Because of that, I did a quick fic based on the Casshern/Sophita fight. Only I painted her as a stalker for the fun of it.

Fic's called Stalker, enjoy!
