I'm only to Episode 7 with the fansubs. That was pretty heavy that poor Yomi's father got sliced and diced. I see that this is the turning point in the story. I suspect it will go down hill for the characters from this point on and get more and more heavy.

Damn good series. This and Shikabane Hime Aka are very good.

You know i feel bad for Yomi for all the pain shes gone through and all. BUT DAMN KAZUKI thats just freakin messed up. This series has actually been playing havok with my emotions so many people to feel bad for.

I want a cosmic reset DAMN IT or a controller where i press start+select

Nice pic, love the humor.

Nice to see the show connecting both to itself and the manga, but still getting the urge to head-desk over various things. Hope the subs for 9 and 10 come out soon.

I cannot help but feel disappointed though that by tying it in we end up losing so many great potential stories. Maybe in the future they'll produce an alternate-universe Ga-Rei series so we can enjoy all these great characters who were turned into fodder way too soon in this series. Something more like the Ghost In The Shell TV series. Because I'm feeling somewhat like we're heading to a dead end, but then again, I haven't read any of the manga to hold an honest opinion of where this series lands us.

God its getting intense I hope kagura fights her,I'm still not sure how it's going to tie in with the manga.

tbh I happy they did this instead of the original story,this show reminds me alot of blood+(kinda) which is a all time fave of mines.

Too sad to put into words... An excellent episode, with lots of action and development. The only problem would be that the art quality was rather... odd throughout the episode.

As always, the action in this anime is good. We got Nabuu x 2 + Drillman vs. Yomi's Garei (where Nabuu dies and the drill person gets his face slashed), and Kiri+Wheelchair person vs. Yomi (obviously, the one who won is...).

Still, the mood was kind of broken when the wheelchair turned out to be like Natsuki's bike and her leg was modified into a machine gun.
Kiri used strings.
But in the end, the Sesshouseki proved to be above...

Damn you, Yomi.

The worst part was Kagura's father. He would have won, but because Kagura didn't get the nerves to kill Yomi, her father gets himself fatally injured protecting her... Haa... At least he got time to show how awesome he is. Awesome father, to the end.

And now we have Kagura, who has succeeded possession of her family's Ga-rei, and the final battle is near(?)...


...One more episode... Kagura's friends are still alive... Please live on...

I thought it was 13 episodes long not 12? But yea can't wait to see the episode seems like great stuff and agree with your sentiment.

I really wish you were right mate, but there is a point in this prequel without a continuation.

At least I have not seen anywhere any plans, hell not even rumors for a sequel, anywhere!

This show is good (nice animation and music, good characters, nice action) just very depressing to watch...but I hope that the ending gives us a more positive outlook for the future even if there isn't a sequel planned at this moment.

It's almost certainly 12 episodes. The only confusing thing is that TVH has a thirteenth episode listed on their broadcast schedule two weeks after they broadcast what every other station has listed as the final one. Nobody else has any note of its existence whatsoever, so the safe bet is that the people at TVH are drunk. It's possible that it could be related to the DVD release from the previous week too, though why TVH would have some sort of exclusive is beyond me.

Thank you for your spoiler (no, really, so I don't have to wait for the sub). I watched the first ep and was like. "nah, just one of monster-of-the-week show, skip." Out of boredom, I watched ep 8(?), I was like, "this is so different from ep 1." I watched all of them then, boom, this is a completely different show to me now.
The first ep is odd. Nobody in it has mush to do with the rest of the story. But there is much of character development later on. I like Yomi and feel really sorry for Kagura. Yomi now is, urrr, I don't know what she is doing. I like the music, too. The ending song is so sad. Overall, great but so depressing.
