OK, here's the next one

ROUND 15

He's a man who searched high and low for help.
The man searched the land and oceans, from dawn to dusk.
However, his search was not fruitful.
He was shunned by society for searching too much.
In the end, he still continued his search for the truth.
Too bad he didn't know his search was hopeless.

Theories and Burmuda Triangle this one off the top of my head. I'll post this for now until I can do a more thorough search b/c I'm running late for work right now. So expect an edit if necessary. I don't think the person was shunned in the other two unless you're talking about getting on people's nerves then sid_burn could possibly be it.

I'm going to have to end this riddle pre-emptively. Round 15 will re-start later today due to a miscommunication resulting in a repeated riddle (though why Spiggy didn't get the answer to an old riddle that he himself answered correctly the last time it was up is anyone's guess).

no way....I just made it to work and I was thinking of possible answers/searches on the way here.

Aww...don't feel bad. With computer problems at home and limited time at work, I'm not here a whole lot. I didn't even get a chance to see the last one b/c I was asleep. I am curious as how they plan on breaking a tie if it comes to that. Are they going to keep posting like they normally do or do you think they'll wait until the people are all on and post it?

Yes Lexander, the excitement is building b/c of the 4-way tie. I'm getting paranoid thinking that I might miss one and that will end it for me.

The doppleganger appeared from the mistakes of many,
though some summoned it on purpose.
It was missing something of true value,
and missing that was its final error
for that error made it easier to spot.
When the true one revealed its ways to the public,
an attempt was made on the life of the false one.
However, the doppleganger will always be near,
as long as our hearts remain impure.

I know this is like dropping 30lbs of bloody meat into shark infested waters but I'm kind of curious, what are you guys going to get w/ the certificate if you win? I'm going to use it to finish of the Amphigorey series that I have, I just need one more book. And if you win the kazoo...how often will you use it? I have summer classes so I might use it when I'm bored studying or since there will be about 5 billion cicadas here over the next couple of weeks...I can use it outside to see if they come to me. Imagine an army of cicadas following me around, mating in the air, and dying a couple of weeks later. The horror!!!

with my 30 I'm ... quiting my job and buying a Mansion in Brazil. Then I'm going to feel it with sexy women and cuban cigars. In my driveway I'll place a private jet. HUH!

the riddles get harder and harder. Thus making people think.
Their (Forumers) has to search for threads pertaining to the riddles
And then when they find it, they have to come back and report back here.
