Slice of Life/Light Romance Suggestions?

I just finished the cruddiest final exam period of my life, so now all i want to do is crawl into bed and snuggle up with a good anime series.

looking for a nice, light-hearted romance series that warms the heart. something along the lines of honey and clover. PLEASE NO car-put-your-sweetheart-in-a-coma

i've seen most of the series dating back from 2006, i just started watching toradora and i love it, so something similar.

also, would like a series that is completed, so i can run through it in one go.

thanks in advance

Whisper of the Heart is the best "heartwarming" romance I have ever seen. However, it's a film.

Maison Ikkoku is a long, satisfying ride and and a classic. However, it is a long and old, which unfortunately means that many pass it up.

Hmm... given your first post you don't seem to actually be searching for a Slice of life series, however for something that more or less mixes the two genres I'd recommend Lamune. It tilts more to the romance than to the slice of life side of the balance though. True slice of life can't have much romance after all

I strongly second Nodame Cantabile.

Skip Beat has some potential, but it's ongoing, so its hard to say how it will end.

It would really help if we knew exactly what you've seen in a bit more detail.

I will second Lovely Complex, I finally got around to watching it and just finished it, great comedy/romance. I can also third Nodame Cantabile

The first thing that absolutely cross my mind was REC, a very short light comedy light romance slice-of-life-ish anime that's more realistic than most. The characters don't seem like all they do is chase after each other and form harems; these characters actually have a life and depth.

Of course then I thought of Nodame Cantabile, which is just win.

And I also second Clannad, which is especially light on romance for a Key work and fewer drama than other Key works. I second Whisper of the Heart because it is just a wonderful film which leaves you with the a nice feeling at the end. We need more of those innocent romance anime that doesn't end up with sex or have sexual innuendos popping up every episode.

Speaking with anime that's not major on sex (which in my opinion would quality as "light on romance"), there's Cardcaptor Sakura, _Summer, and Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora.

If you want mild romance, go for Itazura na Kiss. At least, it's different from the usual romance that you're used to seeing.

OI, I forogt to mention that one, totally agree there. Good comedy, light show, its short but good, and the issues and solutions are realistic as well, but still amusing

Bokura ga Ita
Peach Girl
Kare Kano
High School Debut
Mars
Kare First Love
The Devil Does Exist
Marmalade Boy
Happy Hustle High
Paradise Kiss
Fushigi Yuugi
Absolute Boyfriend

Most of these are manga series where the couple is boyfriend and girlfriend and dating and in a relationship during the series with kisssing, sex, breaking up, going out, dating and relationships.

Fushigi Yugi the manga is much longer and better than the show, the couple is engaged and dating for a much longer timeand the relationship is deeper and more committed..
