You went the wrong direction, 1237 would be the 13th century.

Also I thought it was interesting that the anime included that. I need to look back at the original manga to see if it highlighted the year on Jiraiya's account book.

The Naruto world is pretty much made up of course, but I wonder what event marked year 0 in their history? Was in the first founding of one of the Great Shinobi countries? Or was it after the world managed to defeat one of the Youma? Or was it the birth of the baby shinobi Jesus? He walked on water like Naruto did!

Umm...no it's not, think about the scene where Kakashi, Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto all had head microphones...
The show is timeless...

Electricity

while naruto and Jiraiya were walking along the roads in ep 86, there were poles with powerlines along them.

What's wrong with Windows Media Player?

Anyway, I'm also interested in which event marked year 0. Most of all since Konoha isn't that old. Only 4/5 Hokages now, and the first one founded it. And if they really are in the 13th Century, and the fire country is the stongest nation, they're incredibly fast in gaining power.

Or maybe the fire country already was one of the strongest nation before the founding of the hidden leaf?

Or maybe every nation was still in the process of building their civilisation?

Or maybe their was an enormous tidal wave that swept everything away and only one Shinobi (Noach-san) was able to escape and took with him all teh hawt chicks?

Who knows?

It's their own 13th century. It's just another world, you can't compare it with our one.

What's wrong with WMP? But i use WMP 9 series

Yeahyeah, I know, but it's not like some lame ass dude just said: "Yo dude, Let's begin counting years from here."

At least I don't hope so.

We've seen all typs of gizmo's from p.c's to microwaves from walky talkie's to cam corders, anyway i think its because its a whole different world/dimension, and it also makes the anime, Its a mix of past present and future, and i myself think its cool
