This time they better make the season at least 26 or mroe eps! I'd really love that! And does this mean there will be more of the manga too? As in will they inclue the second season in the manga too?

I'm only expecting 13 episodes at the very most. Without going into post-Disappearance stories, there really isn't enough material to go beyond that (and even then, 13 episodes would require a Haruhi Theatre adaptation and/or another anime-original story).

So anyone who followed CLANNAD should know by now that at the end of the series, K-On! was previewed as the next anime Kyoto Animations was undertaking.

This.. This means Haruhi is not new then?

I've lost almost all hope.

is there a reason there haven't been a 2nd season yet for Haurhi? It is still fairly popular in Japan, plenty of material in the novels. But doesn't seem like any of the companies involve are interested in moving on with a 2nd season?

Theory: Kadokawa's waiting on Tanigawa for Novel 10, and Tanigawa is waiting on Kadokawa for S2. Paradoxes are fun, no?

More than likely, it's because they're still working on it, or said "screw it", stopped production, and are giving us leftover products (like the designs) just so we shut up and quit baawing over no S2.

Look at it this way.

We're getting something in a week. No matter what it is, it's going to be Haruhi, and therefore it's going to be good.

The rumor i heard over a year ago is more likely. I really think, after the novel Series is staled for some years now, that this rumor has a high possibility to be true:

If i remember right the 10th Novel should first released at end of 2006/ beginning of 2007. And i was reading some where in the web(highly possible to be rumor to) in late 2006 that it was finished and on the way to the editor.

Vol. 10 was due for release in July 2007, I believe.

And no, it isn't the last book. If it is, Tanigawa has failed as an author.

Really, if you people would READ THE BOOKS, you will see why Vol. 10 can't be the last book.

Haruhi is not set up to be a short series.

I think July 10th 2007, was not the first planet release date, it was the last official announced. Even Book 9 was released much later then it was first planned, to ...

I don't know the Light Novels because I planned to read them after I saw the entry series. And I was spoiled enough her on the 2nd Season thread ...

Maybe you would say be impossible to end the Story in Novel 10, because of not answered question. There is still the factor that Japanese story telling is some how other then western. I know enough animes that throw from episode to episode more and more Questions and Riddles at the audience with only delivering a few answers or non at all, only focusing on atmosphere. Last Seasons Bounen no Xamdou is one this.

Edit: It not that i want haruhi as short series. At the moment i really love this series and i want to get more and more of it. But some some times if a series drags to long you only rember the broing part of it.
