And yeah, rabbit punch actually KILLED boxers before.. Going for legit blows doesn't really shock me. As for the fight, it's sort of a shame that in the grand scheme of things, it was just a short spar with Ippo just wiping out Nao. Even if Nao attacked quite a bit. 2nd round? sheesh. |

Can't believe Ippo took all those blows and still wasn't essentially "hurt" by them. Guess they were blows that knock the wind out of you.
ah, found the image and a summary at http://thestateofhappiness.wordpress...llenger-ep-12/ |

It's called a boxers pride. His holding the pain while getting hit, while playing mind games with his kouhai Hamma. It's like "Think your strong? Come on KO me? That all you got? Hit me harder!!!" That kinda thing. Which Hamma fall into pressure and got beaten by Ippo's trademark moves. Though Hammer Nao did those moves, Ippo is the senpai and he knows where to block them and give it back to Nao with vengeance.

Takamura can be a great guy or the BIGGEST ASS you've ever known.
Though he may act that way he's pretty much a good guy inside. The Kumi now on my part has a more mature voice, which we kinda see her from S1 from a girl to a lady in NC.

True, but him being an ass leads to hilarious moments like this:
man, I read a summary at http://thestateofhappiness.wordpress...llenger-ep-13/ and I started laughing, because Takamura is freaking hilarious in this episode. |

lmao, episode 13 had me bursting out laughing at some moments involving takamura. was so absurd how he imagined to even get involved w/o anyone noticing!!! I was amazed at the change between kumi in this episode and the previous seasons. The flashback really made her seem to have now grown into a young lady - tho thats kinda expected.......
Just watched the raw of episode 14, and I think i'd be right in saying that the animation has suddently changed? It could be my eyes, but it just seemed to move alot more differently than before. The characters still look the same, and i cant read the credits, but i'd guess someone different did this episode compared to the previous 13. Oh and seems Kitamura is the next focus, Brian Hawk gets a mention at the end. |
