Looking for music anime
Looking for music anime like BECK. Where it involves band music or just guitar not piano violin ETC and the story is about music not like Detroit metal city where its just most wierd comedy and also nothing like when theres like 1 or 2 episodes about music (EX: myself yourself Suzumiya haruhi ETC)
(No K-ON!) |

Honestly, Beck is probably the best example of a real world type of band that you can find in anime, but here are a few others:
Legend of Black Heaven - take one of the characters from Beck, have the band fail, and then skip ahead 20 years to when they are working as a salaryman, and you get this series. Also they battle aliens... Maross 7 Nana You also might like (even if they do not necessarily meet your demands)... Full Moon o Sagashite Skip Beat! Last edited by james0246; 2009-04-20 at 04:02. |

That being said, I expected a thread full of K-ON responses before I read the OP's words. I can't really recommend anything as the only music related anime I've watched was Beck and the other one I've heard about was about some Detroit metal band... I forget the exact title. Think one of the above posters recommended it. |

Since your not interested in K-On!, how about La corda d'oro? It's perfect because it has two great combination, Classical music and a girl surrounded by a harem of Bishonens! Perfect for music fans and ladies(Your a lady right?)

The best one I have seen is Kaikan Phrase http://animesuki.com/series.php/373.html, however it may be a bit hard to get now. Anyway, the band that they made for the show held a few conserts after it, see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%CE%9Bucifer
