Just watched and I must say that the degree of divergence from the novels bothered me quite a bit.
Biggest props go to Nina for leaving Leerin alone with Layfon, selfless consideration at its best! Learn from the cap'n Felli, good deeds pay for themselves! The man of the day was the president who foresaw the situation, recalling ep 1's events. A couple of other interesting development came along like Saya awakening and the queen commenting about Saya's involvement in the events. Ah and Savaris pretty much declared that he'll get a good beating at ep 24 by showing how vicious he is. Next episode Nina will lay down a big-time smackdown apparently, a shame having that fugly mask on and being possessed though. Oh well, looks like she'll end up as the main female character of the season as expected. A shame that it came to this though. Don't worry Harvey, we'll save her! |

KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS!!!!! most of the ep was pretty bleh, but the development between Leerin and Layfon made it great. quite a few plot holes, but they have 2 eps to fill them in. I love how Savaris talks down to Goreno. absolutely cruel.
So now that Nina has given up on Layfon with the "I entrust Layfon to you" then the symbolic elevator doors closing. though there might be room for reprise when Layfon goes to save her next ep.. too bad she's gone ape shit crazy apparently. hopefully Layfon gets the Katana dite soon. so we get to see the ep 1 Layfon we've been missing the whole series. |

It's about time the childhood friend had a lead in the love department. Haven't seen that done in a while.
Also all the crazy madness is finally being explained one after another, so that's what i like to see. I'm guessing we'll see more answers in the last two episodes, and hopefully won't leave what i seriously want to know out.

As for the Leerin kiss scene, it was very obvious that Leerin was expecting a kiss on the lips, with her puckering her lips up and closing her eyes. However, Layfon did what Layfon does best, and avoided that with an ambiguous kiss on the cheek. The shock on Leerin's face when he did that kind of says it all, since she was expecting a passionate kiss. Hence, welcome to Layfon's harem, Leerin, where everything is very one sided and you won't find out where you stand in his heart (well, except for poor Mei). I wonder what the queen is referring to when she asks what Saya is up to and the perfect timing of the filth monster? Savaris is asking for a beating, although, we just saw that same exact scenario an episode ago... except, Savaris doesn't have a band of followers showing their love for him. I am guessing at some point, we will see Leerin' powers in full effect, probably saving Nina from the Haizoku. I hope we get to see the other Heaven's Blades go into combat as well, but for some reason, I think they are more of a display case for this season...

I like the surprisingly civil and friendly interaction between Nina and Leerin despite their obvious conflict of interest. Everyone is obsessed with Layfon though, whether they be male, female, or trans-dimensional animal >_<

as i expected, the plot is being too rushed and is probably going to be cramped into the last two eps! i hate it when they do that. alot of things are happening and two more eps isn't enough! >.<
so layfon has his eyes on nina (yaa~!) they go well together, which is why layfon kissed leerin on the cheeks. if it were nina, he would've kissed her on the lips. |

Cliffhangers are just mean. -_- I wish there will be a set up for a Layfon vs Nina battle. It would be so ironic to see Layfon and Nina engage in a real duel. It makes for good drama between the main characters especially now that we're near the finale. All those talk about teamwork and trust and bonds put to test lol I think Nina just needs to show the haikizoku who's boss. The haikizoku will be a great help to Zuellni if Nina can tame it. I'm rooting for her next episode.
