Please feel free to contribute to this forum by posting samples of your artwork.
However, bare in mind we ask that you don't start threads with little more than a link to the site you are affiliated with. If you need to include a link, please put it in your signature; the post itself should be for actual pictures... |

Yup, member's can't post attachments. If you can direct link to images on your site, you can post images using the [IMG] tag.
e.g.Or, if your site doesn't allow direct linking, just use a [URL] and link to a page on your site that has the image. e.g.Check the FAQ for more information |

I looked at your website, and I truly am surprised! You are really very serious on this... It's the first time I've seen it happen myself, so you'll get it published eh... That's really, really cool. I'd love to get the first book at least, but it'll probably be an USA-only release so... >_>
It looks very nicely done. Your character designs remind me *VERY* much of Miyazaki's designs in Nausicaa. The details, soft lines, no screentones and all of that shiz... Very, very nice. And the artwork is beautiful: the picture for "STORY" on the website really struck me as outstanding. It reminds me quite a bit of Nausicaa and the usual sci-fi-fantasy sort of thing... Hopefully there's going to be a twist in it somewhere? Well you've been developing it for 6 years so... what am I saying?

Thanks guys. I appreciate the enthusiasm.
As far as the storyline goes. There is a lot to it that I don't post on the site. (Don't want to spoil it.) The first issue will be around 24-30 pages. Probably around $5 depending on how it gets published. I'm also considering posting an online version that will be only 99 cents. As far as advice on drawing goes, you really have to devote yourself. I draw more than anyone I know. I do recommend classes. I took illustration courses in college which taught me things I would have never picked up on my own. So definitely take some lessons from a PROFESSIONAL. The rest relies on talent and passion. Find the manga that inspire you then try to create your own characters- after a LOT of sweat and tears you'll have your own project! |
