Zabuzalover, I suggest you to not to use bmps and to try jpg files to show your desktop, it'll load way faster and you won't have to reduce the size like this
Using spoilers is also a good idea too for bigger resolutions.

Do you mean by going to Regionnal and Languistic pannel and put settings in French as long with the hours settings?
If so, it won't look like this :
I'm using my computer in Japanese settings and it won't show a Japanese desktop (actually an English Windows XP would have been better for me to switch like this)

Saw a trailer of Samurai Champloo....it was awesome. That seems like a series I"m willing to pay 30$ a DVD for.
