Some interesting insights I found on a place that shouldn't be mentioned

Negi's career as a magister has always been something he just did, his real purpose was always to find his father... which in turn was a cover for the whole vengance thing.

He outright says later that his reason to become a Magister Magi is because he wants to see his father again, and even since Wilhelm showed up, it's been increasingly clear that he's mostly deluding himself and he's really out for blood.

Wilhelm, Scroll-illusion Eva and Godel all pretty much said it blatantly that what he's really got burned in his head is taking vengeance for his hometown, you can see how he snaps every time that's brought up.

I still think it's funny that in the anime he supposedly comes from Wales, but doesn't have a Welcsh accent...Yet you can't really tell these fact at all in the manga as I don't think it mentions about whatsoever

Vengeance? No, or he wouldn't have let Wilhelm go. It's obvious the attack's still a painful memory to him, but he's not out for vengeance.

Based on what Nodoka said in Ch258...I speculate that

Spoiler:

the magic world (alternate world) can only occupy large empty spaces in the real world. If not, they would have just created a Magic World on Earth.

So what happens when normal humans advance and evolve their science enough that they're able to colonize Mars in the future? Maybe they'll play the card where living things and objects can't occupy the same space in the real world and its corresponding alternate world... Perhaps that is the kind of future Chao came from, where there are conflicts between normal humans and mages due to realestate disputes

Mundus Magica= Mars but in a alternate reality. More so a parallel world. I wonder if the commoners of MM know of the origin of their home world? I am all astounded as to the marvelous revelations this portends. The lad, Negi seems to be putting everything together, and what's this Fate 2.0 is talking about the oblivious citizens as "dolls" of some sort. I find this kind of like "The Matrix" in some way. A citizenry in an alternative dimension/world connected to a Real World.

Anywho I shall post some more...but later my fellow chums

Nop, the translation only mentions large 'area', it doesn't have to be devoid of life.

My theory is that long ago there was a war between mages and commoners and the mages eventually decided to retreat to a closed space.

And so the danger of magic cancelling is revealed as Asuna if left unchecked has the power to destroy the world by shutting down the spells needed to maintain the MM.
