The first season stopped at chapter 143
actually the manga reached chapter 345

so it's very enough for a second season (it could provide more than 50 episodes...)
but maybe they have no idea where the manga is going and prefer to wait & see, especially the battle against yomi still haven't ended yet ... hmm....

i hope they start working on the second season, because the first one was great

When did this anime air?
I still remember when umai-doremi were speedsubbing to catch up to Kuro-Hana.
Feels like last year that this anime ended.

Exactly whats wrong with it? they did it rather well, sure there were a few cut backs and I do agree it was a huge bummer that they skipped the chapter with Kenichi training with that boy in the mountains cant remember the name, and the chapter where Kenichi´s father comes and starts trouble with his gun, truly a bummer that they didint anime that.

I think the reason why they would not make a season 2 during the Yomi arc, is because ones they start it they cant stop until the arc is over, which seems too pretty far if you ask me, because if they decided too end season 2 somewhere in the middle of the Yomi arc, it would be just too weird.

yes, and that's what i've said because the battle against yomi is still evolving in the manga and we (fans) dunno where is it going.
but on the other hand, if they wanna make a second season, they can meet up with the authors who're making the manga. And absolutely they can get then more visibility about the story

man i just start watching this and i have to say its instantly one of my favorite animes. My 2 fav characters have to be Apachai and Shigure.

I have no complaints and like all the characters except 1,Miu. I just really hate her character and find her very annoying. I dont care for her type of character "the dont wanna date just wanna be friends but get jealous and possessive if another girl tries to get close".

I really do hope it gets more seasons its very popular over here in the states. I was talking to a funimation rep and its one of their best selling titles over here

Yeah Shigure and Apachai are great ^^
I don't care if they make a S2 even though the Yomi's arc isn't ended yet , they can do a hiatus .

I think they have more then enough material to do a season 2 leading up to end of the tournament arc.

Lots of great material for them to do, I pray another season of Kenichi gets through.

I really do hope of hearing of a new season for this anime. Fenrir is correct on stating that there is alot of great material that could be shown. Plus, in the past couple of releases from the manga have been saying that the DVD's have been selling well. So I am hoping this would encourage the company that produces the anime to countinue the series.

Just saw the first few eps, sad to hear that it doesn't conclude; seeing as the manga is ongoing but it'd be nice to see if the anime picked up further.

I just recently discovered Kenichi ! I might say there's a good balance between the action and comedy scenes. It makes the whole series more worthwhile to watch. I'm at around ep 30 right now. I wish they would bring him back for another season, as you guys have pointed out, there is more than enough manga material to make do.
