Man.. If they were gonna throw pies at Harima... he should have gone SSJ and dodged everything.. then pied the hell out of everyone.

Once everyone's out.. he's like, Oh yeah... Turns around and gets Pied by Eri

Perhaps if the ending was at least funny.. it wouldn't have been so bad.. We know the romance didn't make it through.. but at least the comedy would have been the stronger point at that time.

even though it's a comedy romance, there could have been more story

for me, what I missed most was a bit story

becuz Harima just came back from his America trip and they all see him the first time after ... I guess, years ...

the first time I saw that scene, I thought there will be scenes like Eri or Yakumo blushing after seeing him ...

I was really disappointed

I only repeat watching some arc only.
- Sport Day Arc
- School Battle Royal Arc
- and of course every eps that feature 50% of Eri's screentime !!!

Yeah...If there where close up shots of Eri and Yakumo blushing or a little panel that the two looking forward to see Harima again it's much better end, but we see here Tenma blushed and cried to Harima which made him look bad to all his classmates. Damn Damn Damn....

How is School Rumble Z progressing? I watched School Rumble 1, 2, and 3, read the original manga...

And does School Rumble Z progress the story? In any way? Or is it just slapstick comedy?

well, it progresses a bit
the first 3-4 chapters are spin-off but afterwards u can see some chapters containing a bit background story and/or other "ends" of SR

I think the first few chapters were meant to be Harima's manga stories, but the story does have a continuation (and a flashback) in the later chapters. Unfortunately, other than showing what the characters did in their lives, there isn't much resolution.

I'm just happy Harima didn't hook up with Eri after all.

Dude .. I'm soooo doing the same thing lol. Eben so I stay away from the San Gakki OVA in general since it has that bitter after taste of 'ending'. Ichi Gakki and Ni Gakki ... the good ol' days; my happy place xD

WTH?!!! That's my image of KJ and Harima! lol :P Also he forgot Mikoto has big breast...oh wait he mentioned it on the relationship chart. Also more breast talk, Mikoto must be wearing tight bra's on some art.

That guy could look like Harima if he made his hair longer and wear dark sunglasses.

Now this is the first time I saw School Rumble is educational in a review rather than those love love other high school sh!t movies.

Well obviously the ending to the first series was what made me lose interest. There was no reason to turn it into a sequel and retcon everything. He could have ended everything proper in the first series.

I'm sorry as much as I liked School Rumble I can't accept that excuse of poor writing. People say Kubo trolled Bleach but they don't know trolling until they've read School Rumble, and for a romance series that can piss a lot of people off when the creator spits on all the development and completely removes it.

I have to say that I liked SR more becuz of the side stories than becuz of the original main plot^^

Well I looked at my past posts. I don't come here too often.

In any case I was referring more to the Harima x Eri development being thrown out at the end of the first series. I don't care if they got together in Z. There's no reason why KJ had to retcon everything only to have them get together anyways. There was no reason to give Harima "Tenma tunnel vision" again and all the stuff that happened during the last two chapters of the first series.

He might as well have just kept SRZ as SR. Honestly that's why I'm pissed off and I'm sure a lot of other people are too.
