*points to the above posts* How can you not like the chibi episodes?? V__V I LUV THEM! Since the Prince of Tennis series is waay to much to burn off my computer, I only burn the good fillers and the chibi episodes. It's more fun that way neh? By the way... I really hate Kirihara. I can't wait to see Fuji kick his @ss. ^__^ |

Yes, the doubles matches against Rikkaidai were butchered from the manga version. Golf swing wasn't in the manga. The move Niou (Golf Swing Guy) used was called "The Laser Beam." And that move looked a lot better. Here's what it looks like:
Spoiler:
Niou is known as the "Trickster of the courts"(for good reason) in the manga. Inui's match was done fairly accurately. Not sure about Fuji or Echizen's matches. Last edited by Liquidus; 2004-07-21 at 02:20. |

red x there.... anyways, the manga's singles 2 and 1 are so much better then the anime's version... Fuji's game in the manga is crazy and soo much better. And I think I mentioned this before but, minor spoiler Spoiler:

I watched that special at around episode 85 or something like that... I don't think it matters too much when you watch it... nothing major happens... just your usual standard PoT non-tournament/filler episode...

Episode 124
Everytime I watch an episode of Prince of Tennis, I can't help but get irritated at all the useless side-comments from everyone... granted, it's there to stretch out the matches... but it's damn annoying!
Spoiler:

I haven't seen the episode but from the sounds of it, I think I can explain why Fuji doesn't prevent it. It's a mild spoiler though... maybe... from a scene that was in the manga that didn't make it to the anime (takes place before these games).

Also they made Kikamaru a whiny brat in the anime. He wasn't at all one in the manga. |

Just finished watching episode 125 and the match between Fuji and Kirihara has ended. They made some changes from the manga I was again kinda dissapointed about.
Spoiler for Anime/Manga comparisons for Fuji/Kirihara match:
Oh, and Fuji's sister is so hot. |

didn't hit it back with his racket, so it didn't count in his favor. Think of it as bouncing off the court, but it's the opponent's court side.
