Is it a native blackbox port? THat's pretty sweet.

On that note, here's my Gentoo desktop. (My Windows desktop isn't nearly as nifty as yours! )

Now that is what I'm talking about!!! Your Firefox and Thunderbird icons are bad-ass You're using gDesklets right? What DE/WM? I'm still running gnome, but I want to get rid of the standard launch bar completely and select everything by right clicking on the desktop. (I'm running Debian sarge btw). Hook me up with the info

Yeah, I love the icons. Found them on gnome-look.org! They are so nice. You can get the full versions here: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=14560. They are a few different styles too.

Actually, no I'm not. The icons are idesk, and the cpu monitor/stats is gkrellm2. My last screenshot had gDesklets, but I decided to stop using it because it was just too much on my desktop, and my computer is a little slow. The thumbnails along the side are minimized windows. fvwm can iconify windows to the desktop and use a png icon you specify. And then I guess that someone figured out that you could take a screen shot of the window and use that as the icon on the fly. That's what those are.

My WM is fvwm-2.5.10, and my fvwm2 config file is based of a guy named Syzygy. Other good configs to try are ikaro's and taviso's. Here is a massive fvwm thread on Gentoo's forums. I haven't read through the whole thing myself, but you could probably get some good ideas and config files from there.

Hope I answered all your questions! I'm still new to fvwm2 myself, and am finding it really slick. The desktop just looks so clean/open without a toolbar/launcher bar, but you can have one in fvwm if you want too. If you check out the thread above, it shows how you can even make it look like Windows XP. lol...

Now, I even find myself right clicking on the desktop in Windows expecting to launch an aterm.... look what Linux has done to me

Madlax wallpaper is from MiniTokyo. More specifically, here's a link to the wallpaper itself:
http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/25121/

There are more Madlax wallpapers there too, but you will have to register to browse them; or, you can see if Google has indexed them (direct links to the wallpapers don't seem to need you to login)
