The reason why the brother went to Hiro's house is, imo...

1) He's clearly a big fan of the work of Hiro's dad, and wanted to talk to him about it. If you guys could walk across the street and talk with Ryukishi07 in your own language, wouldn't you like to do it?

2) He thinks that Hiro is a nice guy, and maybe a good friend for him. Maybe there's some yaoi attraction there, but I don't think he'd want to get in the way of his sister.

I'm quite curious about that guy at the end of each episode with that big map of the village. He appears to have seen his wife killed by the masked peeps, and I'm willing to bet he'll end up going for the revenge angle.

The OP is all right. I like the ED better.....and I'd probably like the OP more if I didn't have to compare it to the badass OP of the actual game. But yeah, after listening to that, the anime OP is a little bit of a let-down.

I like how they do the previews with the creepy child's voice singing the creepy song and the bells and drums. Is it me or does it seem like adding a child's singing voice to any show AUTOMATICALLY raises the creep factor by a few notches?

Y'know if I had to make a guess I'd say that Issei's affection of Hiroshi was like that of a dog. It also connects to how canine's use their sense of smell to recognize and locate people where he would sniff his sweater for Hiroshi's scent .

Despite that though, I am saddened this will inevitably give rise to a yaoi couple. x.x

Those fishermen at the beginning were really suspicious. Have sort of a yamainu thing about them. Course that might not be the case.

So it DOES seem like just the scent of hassaku can quell whatever curse that is. (If it even is a curse.)

Though, I'm just curious about something overall but, for what paticular reason is Mana even in a wheelchair anyway? I don't recall it being explained yet.

I'm somehow reminded of that Sonic cartoon. "if someone tries to touch you in a place or in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, that's no good!" I'm also thinking of anime Chris Hansen... It was definitely terrible, but it could have been worse.

Damn you Ryushki 07, you always find new ways of mentally scarring me.

Also being someone who hates fanservice, I thought the Isuzu parts weren't too bad; actually was pretty good.

But then again, I just finished watching Umineko...

Spoiler for Okami Kakushi speculation: The people of this town have an unique liking for 'outsiders' because they're not tainted by the 'old part of town' vs. 'new part of town' feud. This is a bit similar to Keiichi's appeal to the girls in Higurashi, so it would be consistent for Ryukishi07 to present Hiro this way. It's Hiro's innocence and refreshing nature as a newcomer to the town, that causes people to find him appealing. At this juncture, I don't think that the sentiments that his classmates have for him is entirely fraudulent. I think that they really do like him a lot... but the reason for that is a dark secret. This is pure speculation though. I'm not familiar with the source material. __________________
