I wonder about China. Given SW's setting in WW2 and going by history, the Nationalist KMT would most certainly still be in control of China. The Communist Party (CPC), which was the main opposition to the KMT, also didn't get gain control of the government until after WW2. Mandarin was chosen as the official language sometime in the 20s after KMT and CPC forces worked together to get rid of most of the anarchist regimes that popped up after the fall of the Qing Dynasty. In the SW-verse it might be different, since most of the KMT's power base was in Guangzhou with leaders that spoke Cantonese, and the CPC wouldn't have non-existent Soviet support, so there's a good chance China would be officially speaking Cantonese instead of Mandarin.

You sure know a lot about China's history.......yes, cantonese lost to mandarin, and IF China was to appear as a country in SW, it is most likely to be played by witches speaking cantonese and using American striker units. Still, I would really love to see those radical WWII German concept planes........

It's intentional, just like how Suomi got turned into Suomus.

I prefer the odd appearing names prevalent in the Strike Witches world. Karlsland, Liberion, Fuso, Suomus, I prefer to stick with this line.

The army is good for you, builds character! (Says the guy trying to come an officer in his own and mildly contemplating making a career out of it. )

That was why I just genderbent a bunch of OC thread posters, it damn near wrote itself. Though if I ever take it back up I'd probably add (or maybe replace Kagerou with) Sheba since that would fufil the snarky French quota.

Some of those weren't bad Fuso, Britainna, and Gailea were nice, Suomus isn't bad either, but Karlsland and Liberion I just don't like at all. (I still say Karlsland sounds like a German Theme park and come to think of it Liberion wouldn't be a bad name for a cartoonishly stereotypical American theme park )

As for the name of China we already had that debate with me myself supporting the use of an older Roman name for it in keeping with the theme used to name several other nations.

- Hmmm.
What's the usual lead-up time for anime, anyway? I'm not wondering when the principal animation and storyboarding starts (hopefully already done and they just need to animate, as opposed to doing it on the fly)

At least I can tell the guys I know who ARE asking about this SOMETHING...

C77 ka........I would love to go but no money no talk. I have the CD1 and that NDS game in DSCN0890, apart from that handbook and the limited NDS game gift. Those must be doujins in DSCN0893, right? Looks quite good, though i recommend one called: (C77)[らっびと&キャロット] LOVE STRIKE

How much did you pay for this bucket of magnificence?

I’d just hope we get some combat that actually vaguely resembles real dog fighting instead of the Season 1 monster of the week stuff. (So I can nit pick about everything they get wrong of course. =p)

Well, the SW stuff only made up a tiny portion of that.

I don't know what I'm going to do with two of those SW calendars though...
