Sakura didn't even lay a finger ... She chose a a team of simpletons.

Sai said Kakashi asked them to stop. He blocked the way and used (ink?) snakes to restrain them.
Kiba said they couldn't let Sasuke loose any longer and started to fight back. Sakura asked Lee to participate too and once the boys were all entangled with the snakes and stuff, Sakura dropped the sleep bombs.

Smartest member of the team : Akamaru (he refused to help Kiba) Alas, he was the most sensible to the sleep bomb.
Dumbest member of the team : Kiba. He knew Sakura intended to gas them from last chapter, yet ...

Also, we have a glimpse of Madara's whereabouts. He has stored 96 eyes (most likely all sharingan, even if it's unclear) so far. If you add the eyes still attached to their bodies, you get 100 eyes. (Kakashi 1, Madara 1, Sasuke 2)

Karin was from the Grass in the Chuunin Exam. She was at the Premiere of Sasuke's Shishi Rendan (Lion Combo) we saw for the first (and only ?) time in the preliminaries ...

It's safe to say it's Madara's way to preserve them before he finally uses them and that Itachi's eyes are in the lot.

WOW if Sakura actually joins sasuke I will officially say that this manga has the best twists ever.
Sakura taking advantage of 3 idiots is no surprise. The only one on the team who was smart is Sai.
In contrast to part 1 Sakura looks determined when she says she wants to join sasuke. Maybe thats to let him note how shes changed as well.

Sakura noticed Sasuke's scent on Karin and is jealous of Karin, because Karin is with Sasuke and tries to become his girlfriend. Sakura has to do something about that, no matter what.

Why didn't they instantly disarm or destroy Sakura's bomb and beat her into submission? The question who is the most stupid one of them remains unanswered.
