Each to their own I guess. Fillers will always be neccessary in long running series like Bleach, Naruto, or One Piece. If only they got the focus they deserve like in One Piece. Then they wouldn't be so unbearable. The recent Bleach filler arc was a good attempt imo, but just fell short. I could've been so much better...

There would be no point in going back to canon right now, since the damn arc is still not over in the manga. Imagine having a third filler arc in the middle of the same canon arc...
Hopefully the current manga arc will be over by April, so we can finally have an entire season of canon... which will be undoubtedly followed by one or two more seasons of filler

@neshru - At this point I don’t giva $hit…I’ll take alternating manga-eps and filler-eps at this point…How would that be any stupider than the current state of events? I rather get 1 new ep per every 2-weeks, than 20-30 weeks of these “new-arc” plots…Between the current arc and the fug-eye sword dude arc, the new arcs are getting and deserving a bad name…

@ The Wanderer – Brother, I remember when we used to be in the same camp…But you have far more patience and optimism than I do…You’re the most outspoken Bleach filler supporter I’ve ever read, like srsly…More love to you, but your words can’t make a difference anymore…It’s clear that Bleach has been bull$hiting us for some time now on these “original” arcs…

But I blame Kubo for having a HUEG manga arc.

Well I wouldn't say I'm a supporter. I just treat anime originals no differently than manga episodes. I don't know why you think it's so special for me to do that...

I'm sure he also has a problem with the current filler arc... I'm sure everyone is a bit tired of it by now. The only good thing about it is the character development we are getting, even though most of the development, if not all of it, are for zanpakuto that won't have any effect on the anime.

I just hope anime-only watchers aren't gonna use crap from these fillers in discussion threads.

Really, in my opinion it's better to just halt the anime instead of these useless fillers. Nobody likes them, maybe a couple of people think some episodes were slightly funny or interesting. But what bothers me the most is that these fillers screw over the entire Bleach story. Zanpaktou turning against their owners? Yeah, sure...

At least the Bounto fillers were a bit decent and believable

Even the non-zanpakuto character development won't make it to the main timeline.

And honestly, the only thing I'm getting sick of is all Aizen, all the time in the manga

Actually, the zanpakuto arc isn't part of the story at all. It's in it's own timeline like the movies are. The only thing that we might see in the main timeline episodes are possibly the zanpakuto forms themselves that have been shown in this arc.

They can't "pull a Ririn, Cloud, and Nova", because the Bount arc was canon in the main anime timeline, whereas the zanpakuto arcs was not.
