This Week's episode:
The Mystery of Pain - ペインの謎 ~ Pein no nazo.

Description:

Konoha continues to fight off Pain while the Interrogation Corp fights off the new Chikushodo, who barrages them with an assortments of animal summonings. Ibiki Morino tries to torture the Animal Path only to fail due to the corpse not feeling any sort of pain. Meanwhile, Naruto attempts to merge with Fukasaku, so that he can move in Sage Mode while Fukasaku gathers Nature Energy for him. However, Fukasaku is rebuffed by the Nine Tailed Fox, forcing the duo to find an alternate method for Naruto to enter Sage Mode in battle.

I think this episode was one of the few that had a combat song played for its entirety. Good stuff.

Didn't mind this episode.. was interesting to see all that guys summonings and how big of jutsu the anbu guys can use.

LOL @ this episode is all that I can say... While its true that the key moment are essential manga panels.. the padded stuff are mostly laughable TBH.

And for all the garness in Ibiki .. he summoned a cute kitty doll (I know what the doll is) but seriously, after such corny name "Iron maiden jutsu"... thats the best they can think of for the visual?

I'm glad we finally got to see some other characters fight to be honest. It was refreshing to see the ANBU spam their jutsu's and Ibiki doing something. Everything has been so predictable for the manga readers so I really enjoyed this episode. The filler parts were the best for me personally.

the animation was much better in the last episode, actually. This episode looked okay if you consider that the last episode done by the same AD looked like shit, but the animation was still pretty low quality.

Nice combination of techs from the Anbu team. Too bad for Ibiki for zombies are prone to pain. Then the Summon Pain turned Konoha into Monster Island, we just need Godzilla.

It's really funny... Konoha is considered to be the strongest village yet they can't do anything even to mere summons... Was even one single summon killed yet?
The only one that comes to my mind is the one which had met with Sakura's fist...

Konoha is laughable... Pein alone could rule whole world like that.

Well Pain's summon are abnormal at best so yeah. And I think the "zombie" aspect also applies to the summons.

It's really funny... Konoha is considered to be the strongest village yet they can't do anything even to mere summons... Was even one single summon killed yet?

To be fair, It took dozens of no-name shinobi to summon just one snake back during the Sound Invasion. So it only seems reasonable that it would take dozens to defeat one large summon.

Additionally, what village hasn't been walked over by the Akatsuki? Seemingly an entire village in Kumo was destroyed by Hidan and Kakuzu when they captured Yugito. Deidara almost destroyed all of the Hidden Village in Suna. They've also been in Kiri (Sanbi) and Iwa (Yonbi). Etc. Pain is, arguably, the Top Guy in Akatsuki, and if subordinates can almost destroy a village, why can't the boss actually go through with that threat.

Besides, it isn't like Pain has caused that much damge...

Pein alone could rule whole world like that.

If that was true, he wouldn't need the Bijuu now would he...
