Akuto was able to purge the mana for the puppy back in episode 2 (I think), so eventually, I am sure he will be able to do the same for Yuuko. However, with Hiroshi getting ever closer to Yuuko, and she disliking Akuto, Hiroshi might be swayed by his... ummm.. kiss... and decide to try to kill Akuto for his beloved.
As for the teleportation tree, either it is something that Korone prepared (since Akuto did ask her for it beforehand), or he might have learned it from Korone with her multiple uses. Although, I'm not sure, since that portal he went through seemed rather devilish, with its dripping blood like goo. Also, with Yuuko and Hattori a follower of the god that tried to have Keina killed, I am not too sure how that relationship will end up. Yuuko, I am almost positive, will become an enemy and be dealt with. Hattori, I predict, will either defy her god or defect to Akuto.

![]() ![]() Let's recall Yuri's key words earlier in the ep; how Sai smells like a monster, much to either the surprise or shock to Heroshi, and how Yuri get's all warm and fuzzy when near a monster. So why don't I think it was Sai's mana that directly influenced Yuri? Well,... you know how there's just a tiny hole in some details every now and then, and the way I viewed the scene... a considerable amount of time passed since he activated a mana burst (you know, Korone was talking and all that ![]() So what's my explanation? The way I saw it, it was similar to that thing I mentioned [way back lol] about how Peter was able to detect Sai's "change of the future". ie, the decision Sai came to when he wanted to save Fujiko. As in, what Yuri reacted to was Sai's change brought about by the decision he made at the moment (Save Keena). This is what makes him the Maou that defies the future, when he makes a decision, it changes his... innards(lack of a better word ![]() ![]() I know, my thinking process is never simple ![]() ![]() Spoiler for What I was thinking during Junko's nighttime visit:
Anyways, I wanted to talk more ep 09 (I really really did feel out of my funk not talking more about it). --No wonder why I was a bit confused by it, but the colors changed for the gender symbol when Junko was packing her things(I'm used to pokemon's red for female blue for male) ![]() --It's so ironic that that eyecatch told us ahead of time that Keena was going to be alone later in the ep. Should have been really really suspicious why Sai disappeared from the second part of that eyecatch (he's usually the one to turn off the tv ![]() --It was probaly easy to miss, but why in the world did Sai return to calling Junko "Hattori-san" during that bed scene. Maybe that silently hurt her ![]() --There was another part here adding to Junko's list of "not a typical tsundere" earlier when the crew met Yuuko, where Junko gave the real answer towards Sai instead of the regular denial. Amusing how these characters have a laundry list of likable traits... Quote:

![]() ![]() ![]() b) We stil aren't entirely sure what Yamato's plan is. One ep we see he wants to settle a score with Sai, the next we have him declaring himself trying to free the gods. Whatever ties Keena and Sai to his plan probably has to do with "making the contract" with Keena. I'm guessing the one who kisses Keena... will gain invisibility ![]() |

Besides, I don't think he was close to Yuri at the time. She wanted to kill him. He had to save Keina. He was headed in the opposite direction. I doubt he would have forced himself and waste time trying to go towards someone who right now hates him. Saving Keina comes before anything else. Quote:
a) Think of this as if the gods are like the Internet. They have a ton of information floating around all over the place. Think of Keina like a hard drive or computer. She has the ability to store the gods in a physical form, and then think of Yamato as a CPU to drive all that. b) As Eikotron stated, we aren't sure of Yamato's motives. Also, the gods as they are in show is not the same as a god we know in our world. As Akuto stated at the beginning of the episode, the gods are system created by humans. If it is created by humans, and can definitely be destroyed by a Demon King. Furthermore, when he wants to free them, he wants to free them from the formless existance, hence better to control them in a container (Keina). As for Yuuko, as Eikotron stated, Akuto was more concerned about saving Keina (time sensitive issue) than freeing Yuuko of the monster mana. He can do that any other time. Also, we do not know if Yamato is lying or not about giving the dove pin to Keina. So far, we have seen Akuto continually giving the pin in his childhood.

Heh, I went to sleep and there's wall of texts all over, no way I can reply to each and every one of them.
Yeah, I admit I forgot that there's some time after the mana discharge and the monster reaction. Still, an emotional based power up (from rage, love, etc) is extremely common in anime/manga, but an even greater power-up just from making a decision that defy his fate isn't that common. It's a bit outlandish when I thought of it beforehand, but I guess that's what makes it interesting, I guess. Quote:
-- That is indeed a bit strange, I think I remember at another time after Junko ask him to call him Junko as opposed to Hattori-san, and yet he still calls him Hattori. Clumsy mistake, or something else? Makes sense for Junko to be disappointed. -- Yep, after the character development in the first 3 episodes she's been mostly dere dere over Sai, only denying it in front of other people like Hiroshi this episode. Quote:
![]() EDIT: I just realized that Yuri was her stage name, God I feel like an idiot for only noticing it now. My points still stands though: it'll be at the very least interesting to watch if she end up living up the other meaning of her stage name, especially with Eiko... And yeah, it's not that surprising for Akuto to prioritize Keena over Yuuko. He is much closer to her and anything could happen as he doesn't know her current condition. Yuuko's condition looks severe but may not be that urgent, and with a teleportation portal in theory it shouldn't take much time for Akuto to check/rescue Keena to safety to go back and save Yuuko afterward. Also, it's not like Akuto knows what to do about her, for all we know he could've made it worse. Quote:
About your idea, while I do suspect some memory manipulation going on (after all, we know that Bouchi can easily alters and erase Fujiko's brother's memory) but I think it's more memory loss than false illusion. I base this mostly on the fact that we know nothing about Keena's memory that's been shown, and it would fit in how she forget who gave her the dove pin (as well as the contradiction with Akuto's memory). Yeah, that's why I'm not 100% believing that they're inherently evil just yet. We know that at least one of them (Suhara) is, for ordering an assasination to a harmless young girl (Keena) but the other Gods as far as we know it has done nothing that is criminal.

Roundabout explanation for me is that Fujiko's brother punked him before being strangled to death. Peterhausen's location wasn't the problem even Lily knows where it is. Oh yeah Fujiko the guy in front of you whom your Maou is fighting is your brother's killer. If you guys bother to piece together the blond guy in a white suit that hired him. |
