Never really felt for him either, but I found that chapter tear jerking. You just have to feel sorry for a guy, who couldn't help to fall in love with a girl, even so he didn't want to and reaches out to tell her finally .. but she isn't even there.

Found that very sad, but I'll never understand Mr. Vegetable.

well, I don't really understand why he clothes as kappa, too
but after reading that chapter I understood his role in the anime
before, he was only the guy one of the main charas had a crush on xD

He's just wacky, and had some things hidden that were waiting for the right moment.


Of course it all came out weirdly...

but we did get a few things answered, he kept his distance from Tenma and pretended most of the time not to have any feelings for her and usually choose curry as any man would.

But even with his weirdness.. he did have tears in the end... and that kinda gave a bigger impact considering that he's usually funny and weird, for his character. Much like Eri having a big impact when she's lovey dovey

Many hate that guy for many reasons.

Easy: People tend to dislike things they don't understand. Karasuma is the personification of "I don't understand!!".

I think its much better if Karasuma said it to tenma in the first place that he is going to die.....

as far as I remember..., the reason why he is avoiding tenma is because he is going to hurt her if they have a romantic relationship.....

Karasuma and Tenma are examples of characters who, while they have their fans, are more there to motivate the story than for the readers to feel a connection with. Without those two characters, SR wouldn't be the same.

Even without Tenma and Karasuma, Harima's mishaps gives the show more color. Also I understand one thing about Tenma why she likes Karasuma without any reason. Because that's love, that's one thing i like about her, Harima though a a BIG reason why she likes Tenma. Karasuma likes curry and then suddenly in the ending he becomes emo and doesn't wanna feel/fall in love. One reason why Harima needed to knock some sense into him.

hell, he even had some sense kicked in via Eri's foot to crotch...

Still I'm surprised how well Mikoto handles Harima, like Eri she grabs/pushes/snaps and close quarter argues

I some times wonder how things would have been if everything Eri related would have switched with Mikoto, especially the walk into Naky Harima =p

I think Mikoto's that good with Harima becuz she thinks of him as a friend.
She has no doubts or anything while speaking with him, becuz to her, speaking with Harima's the same like speaking with Yoshidayama hahaha xD

Well I suppose it might have started with the Pencil wrap prayer,

You know how everyone's scared of Harima... or say bad things. It's like none of that really effects Mikoto on how she treats him. I guess she's too nice for her own good, I mean she lets Imadori get near her and try to do things (though she usually ends up kicking his ass).

To be honest.. I would have never given a thought for Mikoto and Harima if I hadn't looked back some chapters where she meets him at night and offers him a place to stay the first time, while he refuses. Then tries to sell tissues =p and gets knocked over, had a pitiful look.. but she appears again and helps him pick them up.

I suppose she would have been more interested in him if she wasn't being nice for her friend Eri. Everything she did was to support Eri, and get her together with Harima

Still can you imagine? Eri, Mikoto, and Yakumo all for Harima =p
Doesn't break any balance either, since most of the other guys have second options

Mikoto is your tomboyish girl, she's not shy with guys. Also note the worker-san Harima he smiled at her in a scene. Pretty much delinquents and tomboys get along well if they're classmates and friends. Also Harima never hits girls except for the SRZ manga with Eri for comedic purposes.

WTH?!! Pen-faction is back? lol These are the reasons why Harima can get ANY SR girl he wants. Even Lala.

Karen never talked with Harima as well, neither did that nerdy chick that likes Hanai.... or Saeko.

I like that the girls aren't all pursuing the same guy. Or the guys the same girl. Way mor interesting than all the dull harem animes where all fall for the wuss for no reason.

I always took Mikoto and Harima as a nice relationship friendship-wise, since she's awkward when it comes to love, too. And she loves to tease Eri

This is ONE of the big reasons why SR is unique.

It's not the one guy for all girls, but guys for girls. A REAL school thing unlike most of the school type animes now adays.
