Well he has that pedo grin and dirty look on his face, but it doesn't kill the fact that he carved a niche out in a very saturated industry for himself.

Well.. we're supposed to be discussing the manga here .... but I only have volumes 1-3 and haven't peeked into the forbidden scan lands to what portends for volume 4. Some of the comments here make it sound interesting though. Given the length of the "season 2" anime... I wonder if the end of the anime will be tied into some important milestone in the manga (somewhat akin to Toradora! sync'd up the anime and light novel finale).

K-On! is published monthly in chapter form - in these two magazines: Manga Time Karara and Manga Time Kirara Carat.

Yen Press will start publishing the english volume translations at the end of the year. They are originally published in Japan by Houbunsha.

So far, all girls plan on attending the same college, so chances that the band will still exist by then (as a foursome for the time being) is high.

I think a better question is, will Azusa eventually rejoin (assuming she goes to the same college eventually), or will she eventually start her own band aside HTT?

He made a successful manga, and its anime adaptation breaks records left and right. If anyone has reasons to gloat over that, it would be him.

Somewhat in poster's defense ... the mods should probably put a "Licensed" sticky thread up on the K-On subforum page explaining the manga is licensed. Its been talked about extensively but is buried in the long threads at this point.

I guess we'll learn soon enough what will happen when all this is over. Will Kakifly end his story soon, or will he go as far as he possibly can?

More focus on the junior team = good. I like how Mio has now apparently fully embraced her bass' name. Good job there, Yui. And Jun gets sexually assaulted initiated by Yui.

So, the juniors are giving their upperclassmen a concert now, instead of the other way around. This should be good.

The look Azusa gave when Yui had assulted Jun was somewhere betwwen annoyance/iritation/disbelieve and jealousy

Will be nice to see their reactions to the mini concert.

I do suspect that she shared the same "jealousy" traits with Mio when the people who loved them switched attention to someone else.

This guy is not kakifly, but director of "Umisho".

Voice actoress Aki Toyosaki played main heroine of "Umisho" in 2007.

The picture is one scene of its audio commentary.


Kakifly' face is mystery yet.

so, Japanese anime fans play kakifly collage.

AZUNYAN! ENERGY CHARGER! And it seems that Mio is so sisterly and nice to Azunyan as usual...

Ritsu's reverse psychology on Mio always seem to work so effectively. If only the frames in the 4koma are larger, we could have incorporated Mugi's happy look on page 7.

Of course, Mio giving Ritsu a "Kagami mochi" is brilliant.

If the later chapters are any indication, I'd say Kakifly's character design is slowly edging towards Horiguchi Yukiko's anime version. One wonders if they're pressured to do this to cash in on the popularity of the anime...
