I've just seen the OP, the song is really awesome. But I really can't believe Umineko is ending this easy. I wish it would stretch more, like Higurashi went from 2002-2007. Umineko was 2007-2010 (EP8, probably the last, will be released THIS YEAR.) which, for me, is just short-lived. Though I'm still hopeful that Ryukushi-san might continue Umineko, even if it means Deen going bankrupt. (The anime sucked because Deen was REALLY going crazy with their budgets.)

But DEEN has nothing to do with the games right?

Also, even though Higurashi took longer to release, Higurashi + Kai only had 8 titles. I don't think just because Umineko is being released faster it necessarily needs more games?

He might add a few Umineko extras after the Chiru. Like Rei from Higurashi. Also 5 years is too long for me for a novel. Maybe he might create a new novel also after Umineko. Anyway, he's famous now so we might see a lot of new games that he has his participation on it (*points at Ookami Kakushi and Rewrite)

I'm not saying that Deen have something to do with the VNs... I'm saying that Deen will have to adapt them and ball their eyes out, that's all.


EDIT: Higurashi Rei was written by fans, not by Ryukushi-san himself. He just hand-picked them and released them by his name.

I think you've misunderstood the concept of a fan disc.

I'm personally not too fond of the Higurashi side stories (they reek of milking and let's face it, it was way more fun when the mystery was still going), but it wouldn't surprise me if the same thing happened for Umineko, so more power to you if you enjoy them.

Oh my. I'm really sorry, My cousin told me. I think he misunderstood the difference between those mangas where as the fans send short stories.

I didn't like the Higurashi fan discs either, for the same reason. I think Ryukushi-san was bitten by the writing bug too many times to stop too soon. Who agrees with me?
