Eh looking for new anime.

I've been watching different types of animes lately so currently I'm in the "romantic/comedic" phase.

I would like to watch anime similar to hime-chan's ribbon, blood+,eureka seven, sailor moon etc.

Nothing too girly(I prefer shows that don't overly focus on romance) or too serious. So I guess a show with a female lead too?

um hope I make sense....I prefer a long series(the year it was released doesn't matter).

so um help please and thank you.

Fullmetal Panic Fumoffu

I enjoyed this anime. Alot of funny moments in it and i think there was a little romance in it aswell. Been a long time ago since i watched it so i could be wrong about the romance.

Hajime No Ippo
Sport anime that focus around Boxing, the fights are very nice the story is very good and the anime is damn funny because of the many comedy moments in it. - Later in the show he meets a girl.

Can't think of more anime that i have seen that have the stuff you want in it. Maybe i know a few more names tomorrow.

Nana is definitely a must-see... If you like the magic girls thing, I would suggest to try Nanoha

Although NANA is a personal favorite of mine, it is a very serious story, especially with the amount of heavy drama, and the OP did mention that he/she doesn't want any of that.

You are quite right... Since is one of my favourite as well, I couldn't help but confirming the suggestion I can only say that some episodes are hilarious as well, so you might compensate with the drama developed throughout the storytelling.

Crest of the Stars fits perfectly. Strong female lead. Romance is mainly subtext.

Full Metal Panic would also be a good one.

Haruhi Suzumiya, Shakugan no Shana, and Kannagi all might also work for you.
